Pretty obvious he was looking for Marshall so he could complete his hat trick

If he had the pace he would have flown in. No question.

Because he didn't have the pace. Otherwise he'd have obviously pinned his ears back and flown in.

No I am not. I meant the year his performances suffered were the same year in which Wane told him to be more aggressive. I thought this was last year. If it was the year before my mistake but my point was there was a recent season when he was very un-Faz like and it followed Wane telling him to be more aggressive. I think a more appropriate response to my post might have been "Didn't you mean 2016"

Dave, how come almost every thread turns into a criticism of Wane from you. He's coached Farrell since Farrell was in the U16's. How many instructions do you think Wane has given him in that time? It'll be hundreds.
I'm sure somewhere in that mind of yours this heatwave is Wane's fault.
Players have good games, average games and poor games. In Farrells case it has been a lot more of the first than the others in his career at Wigan.

Only after being chased down in a foot race by the Leeds hooker.
And I'm pretty sure that looking for Marshall for his hat trick want the reason he was run down at widnes magic castleford.

| are some folk seriously commenting that Morgan is not fast?
the guy is lightning!! he may not have that maintenance of speed over the length of the pitch but there are few in the league who accelerate as quickly as he does. I thought he played really well last night; like with Tony Clubb right near the end when they said on SKY, if he had taken it in on his own and got tackled we would have been raging saying why didn't he pass. the fact morgan appeared to surrender is irrelevant.

| A slight loss of pace is a bit of a concern, but he still has the acceleration, and bringing him against a tiring Leeds defence really brought dividends. And it was good work from Marshall to be there in support, and the try still needed a bit of scoring. As others have said, a really enjoyable night.
And Faz, yeah, he's a proper footballer. All the skills, and the work-rate to match. What's not to like?

This is miles off mate. He was caught by Matt Parcell with 5 yards start. Not by a winger, not by a half, by a hooker who isn’t exactly likened to Usein Bolt! Yes Escare has speed off the mark but last year he’d have put that ball under the sticks without a hand laid on him. Undoubtedly he’s lost a significant amount of pace which is his primary attribute

| I would leave Bateman at centre for the rest of the season, Bateman is a decent centre imo and most of our best performances this season have been with him at centre, Faz and Greenwood are two very good second rowers and Isa who’s been very good this year can provide cover on the bench

Agree with all that bar Isa being the bench player. He’s having a fantastic season and deserves a starting shirt if Bateman is at centre IMO. I always wondered if Isa would make enough ground as a regular starter but he’s really kicked on in that regard.
I quite like the idea of Greenwood’s size being used to add a bit of impact from the bench also.

| Quote: DaveO "He's one of my favorite players for the reasons you say. Him and Bateman have a similar attitude and are both players who lead by example. Now back in 2017 things did not go so well for Faz. This seemed to coincide with something Wane said he wanted from him which was more aggression. All of a sudden he went from being what I'd call an elegant RL player to someone who decided he ought to put it about a bit more. Looked like he'd totally lost the plot as a result. He's now playing like he used to, to his strengths and he's back up there making his characteristic breaks.'"
That’s not correct.
It was 6 years ago when wane asked faz to up his aggression in defence.
It did coincide with some poor form and lots of pens if I remember correctly.
It ended when Justin poore ko’d Faz at Wakey iirc.
Not sure how you can attribute that to last years form?
Still, it allowed you to tediously dig at Wane with every breath. You literally could not just praise Faz as a player. You had to get a swipe in
Honestly you are beyond boring and the powers that be need to look at changing the rules about being able to block a Mod.
The constant perpetual negativity really takes the fun out veiwing or contributing to this forum Dave, it really does.
