| Tautais was bad and he deserves what he will get for it. Charnleys on the other hand... as he approached the ref, hicks gave the penalty and stuck his arm right into Charnleys face without looking, Charnleys just moved his arm out the way which is a simple human reaction. Ridiculous if he gets a 2 or 3 match ban for that. 1 match at the most for approaching and questioning the ref when he isn't captain.

I feel that's a tad over dramatic for a tackle at the back of the knee to be talking of broken legs. I don't think Cuthbertson was ever in danger of such a serious injury. Let's not ban going in at the knees as it's 99% perfectly safe. Let's ban going in like that at the speed he did. Rightly so he should be banned for how dangerous those types of tackles can be. I believe Chase actually went at the ankle and not the knee which is obviously a less mobile joint and is planted in the ground.

Total inconsistency again from the review pannel, blatant cannon ball tackles should all be treated the same
'"
The rules, quite rightly IMO, state that the severity of the injury (if any) is taken into account in the length of ban for any foul play offence. So yes, a broken leg would lead to a longer ban.

Let's just ban tackling altogether and make it feckin' tag rugby! There's nothing wrong with taking someone's legs to bring them down and Powell is actually an excellent exponent of this technique. The tackle you're probably confusing it with is the cannonball which quite rightly is outlawed but I've never seen Powell perform one of these.
As someone else pointed out, 99% of the time the 3rd man coming in to take the legs is perfectly safe; predictably though every time there is an incident you get the outraged brigade wanting to ban everything.

Unless the injured player goes by the name of Tony Clubb....

| <sigh>
You have to say that this was the most stupid reason to receive a ban ever. Entirely his fault and totally deserved I'm afraid.

| No issue with either. They've both let themselves and the club down really with silly bans when we can least afford it.
Good opportunities for others now to step up.

| Can't complain about either, hopefully the entire squad will now get it's act together discipline wise.

| I think that we need to get our discipline in order immediately otherwise it could be yet another case of If only
I fancy us for the treble this year but if our ill discipline continues then it's not inconceivable that we miss the ideal chance to scoop the rewards in probably the most mediocre SL season that I have ever seen

I agree. It's been a poor quality season, the fact we are joint top with having had 7-8 injuries per game since March with a very low positive points scored just shows how poor it's been.
Put all our unfit players out on the field we would romp this competition.
