Yes, this. Other sides we play at least seem to have a functioning pair of halves. I've never been a fan of Miller or Finn, but it sounded like they both had a field day today.

| Not a troll - I have a genuine point here.
Wigan have a first rate academy so when you combine that with a side containing Josh Charnley, Tony Clubb, Willie Isa, Dom Manfredi, Lee Mossop, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Matty Smith, Taulima Tautai and Joel Tomkins (maybe even Sutton and Burke) it is really surprising that the score was what it was.
There are enough seasoned professionals in that side to make a match of it.
It might be just a case of 'put it down to a very bad day at the office' and move on. Sometimes you can read too much into a result and beat yourself up with no positive benefit.

| Manfredi didn't play, but yes, it should have been a lot better.

| Hull KR put in a much better performance with a worse team against us. No excuses for that performance and score line.

Credit to Wakefield - brilliant performance.'"
I agree its not the end of the world but, as has already been said, no way is that scoreline remotely acceptable.

| The result isn't a surprise, I called Wakefield by 12 - they are on form and yes we have injuries to key players, it happens.
But the scoreline is totally uacceptable, as bad as Catalans away last year. I don't think it'll cost Wane his job (and it shouldn't either). But it is another wake up call for the club that things need to change. I don't know what the answer is, but we need a response.

| You look at the injuries to ten senior players.
The scrapping of the reserves competition with U19's having the cut off.
Poor recruitment when experienced players leave. Filling the team with kids with no leadership weakening our strength in depth. It looks only set to continue with Oliver Gildart replacing Dan Sarginson.
The few "senior" players we have are pretty ordinary i.e Matty Smith, Lee Mossop etc
Having said all of that - that performance/scoreline will never be acceptable. There are no excuses that can justify that scoreline. We need answers and we need to make sure that never happens again.

| I posted at 28-0 that I didn't feel we should get too down on them today and I stick by that but to let the scoreboard blow like that is worrying. We were always got me to lose today and unless we get a few bodies back we'll continue to do so but you don't expect that. The attitude of the players has been spot on this year but the form in attack hasn't been great. We had Cas away and Catalans away last year where we just didn't turn up. I don't feel as down today as I did after those two defeats because there are clearly mitigating circumstances but they only count for a portion.
Here's to a change of fortune on the injury front. If and when we get that we'll be able to form a much better judgement of where we're at.

| I'm wondering what pearls of wisdom Pacific has to offer on this result.

Agree.
For me it shows that when Locky, Bateman and McIlorum don't play there are zero leaders in the team.
We have to buy experience AND leadership when recruiting for next season.

I don't think that is being a troll. It is a completely fair comment. We may not have expected a win today but that result was a disgrace given the experienced players who were in the side.

I think that result or at least a good hiding has been coming for a while. People will point to the win loss record so far this season but we have not played well bar one half v Leeds (which is not hard to do these days anyway).

If we want anything form this season, we need to get recruiting now. A hooker in the Piggy mould would be a start.
