| Great entertainment
The score does not represent the game. Wigan lost four players through injury in the first half and then another two in the first ten minutes of the second half. At that point it was still 18 - 6 for Wigan. Unlimited interchanges were used and the Aussies made five at once and kept on making them. Wigan ran out of numbers (no subs available) and when you see the size of some of these Aussie players you will understand why the game got away from Wigan late on.
#1 Mitchell is a very dangerous runner, big strong, fast and elusive #8 Host had a great game, #11 Leilua is a monster, a real handful #6 Lamb kicked them from all over the place.
Ryan Sutton was outstanding for Wigan and my m.o.m.
I would advise any RL supporter to get down to Leigh for the next two games I'm really looking forward to it.

| Yes, great entertainment and I enjoyed my first visit to Orrell today. Their lads were so much bigger physically it was untrue. Schoolboys? Hell, what age to they leave school over there and whatever they feed them on, I want some.
It looked ominous when the Aussies went 6-0 in front early on but with some superb determination and better plays we gradually took the score on and went in at the interval 18-6 to the good and well deserved.
Later on, however, the Aussies size and strength told and the final score looked much more impressive than it actually was. Our commitment showed in the second half brawl where, in six or seven individual bouts within the overall brawl, we matched them punch for punch.

| Really enjoyed the game and there was some superb talent on show. Wigan were clinical once they settled into the game and took their opportunities well, scoring three very good tries down the left with Doran playing a part in them all. Thought Australia had the advantage through the middle, and although the final scoreboard was a bit harsh on Wigan I think Australia would have pinched it anyway such was their dominance in the forwards. The size of some of those boys has to be seen to be believed.
Doran was excellent in very aspect of his play and scored a superb solo try but he's carrying far too much blubber and would surely improve further if he dropped a few kilos. Sutton worked extremely hard but struggled to find his front and got caught out behind the ruck on a couple of occasions even when fresh in the first half, not as good as others on here are saying for me. Gildart looks very good and Wigan played to him a lot, he looks a nightmare to defend against. Was impressed with Lever too before he went off. The centre who went off in the first set of the game was unfortunate, he put a cracking shot on but came off worse.
Nice RL fix before next year and I'm going to try to get to one of the England games too, should be close.

| Enjoyed the game, a bargain for £5.
The brawl was very entertaining too!
I was surprised their was not a bigger crowd than that to be honest, I wonder if the game could of attracted more had it been possible to play at DW?

| I believe Liam Marshall and Keiron Sherratt have broken ankles and Jack Wells a broken jaw. That was a tough game!!!

| Fine game. We really ran out of bodies in the second half. We also were a bit unfortunate when second Australian tacklers fell off the tackle, twice, and the remaining player was allowed steal the ball. You cannot overstate how big these boys were.
We were using our hands to outscore the big lads and we really seem to have a real centre, the kind who can make a winger look brilliant.

3 players with broken bones
1 shoulder injury
1 back injury
1 ko'd
Very unlucky on the day

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

After the WCC last Feb in Sydney, Wane made the comment that the Roosters were just to big for us, will seeing the size of the Aussie schoolboys have any effect on his thinking regarding any future signing of youngsters ?.
Even if it did though are there any big young athletic lads in the area who want to play the game?.
Yesterday was brutal having to see 16 year old lads being thrown in (albeit because of injuries) some on debut against what was a monster team.

| This thread reminded me of seeing the Leeds Academy select play Penrith juniors in November 2007. The Aussie lads were huge ! This was the telling factor in end result of the game.
An interesting aside - looking at the 20 man Leeds squad shows the attrition rate amongst young players. Only one still on the books at Headingley, a lad that has done OK for himself - called Ryan Hall.

[b:3w2ur1db]Superleague Titles[/b:3w2ur1db]
Warrington Wolfs - 0
Wakefield Trinity - 0
Leigh Centurions - 0
[quote="Budgiezilla":3w2ur1db]Surely it can only be a player from Catalans. Probably the best RL side I have ever witnessed in this season's comp.[/quote:3w2ur1db]: |

| I went to this. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought wigan did well in the first half but the Aussies brought on a few players and just ground them down. That folau look alike was a great player. Injuries didn't help the wigan cause though but those lads should be proud of themselves especially in the brawl!
regards
King james
