5733_1599791508.jpeg Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_5733.jpeg |

I'm sure Charnley will know why he didn't play, as will the rest.'"
I think it depends what he has done. I assume whatever it is it is a disciplinary issue hence Wane making an example of him by telling the press he has been dropped.
I have no problem with that personally IF it is a disciplinary issue especially if it is attitude related.
If it is performance related no need to single him out over any other.
I think it is tough to criticize Wane for his man management when it seems to be one of his strengths and the full story is more than likely not in the public domain.

| It did get me thinking when I was reading about him sniffing around for an NRL contract when in Aus. If his hearts not in it then get shut of him now before he unsettles anybody else I say. No player is bigger than the club and all that. Obviously if this is not the case I'll take it back.

Don't agree, top players are holding the club to ransom too often here.
Let him sweat this season out in the reserves.

| Disappointed with Charnley tbh, his agent was touting him around clubs while he was in Aus and actually tried to arrange a meeting with a few clubs for Josh to attend while he was out there! The club are very annoyed as he wants to go NOW. Just so glad McIlorum has signed as he approached the club about the NRL's interest but was happy to stay here. It'll be interesting see how the Charnley situation pans out now.

If thats true what your saying(and i'm not saying it isnt btw!) Then for me just sell him and get shut! If no one will pay a transfer fee this season then make him sit in the stands and let thornley/manfredi compete for his position

I have seen another poster on here who has heard the same so I think there is something in it. I think every Wigan fan has expected Charnley to leave after this year, the problem the club have with him is he wants to go now.

Some interesting tweets going around;
Neil Barker @NeilBarker14 · 13h
U2's Joshua Tree With or Without You - Salford Reds' big Josh Charnley slip-up full details and story of it in tomorrow's M. Evening News
lower down in the tweet thread it was followed by;
Neil Barker @NeilBarker14 · 13h
It was a costly slip up on Salford's part
and then;
Neil Barker @NeilBarker14 · 13h
A very interesting story dear - that''s all I can say at this stage - all will be revealed tomorrow
So from that it looks like the Doctor may have had him in mind for his marquee signing. Or is it just a good way to sell more papers?

| If true, I'm sure Widnes would be glad of a winger on loan for the season, then a nie big transfer fee for us from the NRL after that. Plenty time for Manfredi to find his feet before the season really starts properly in summer. Failing that there's Gelling and Thornley as well
