Ashton, Mad Jacks getting sloshed. Not making sure they make the team next week by staying in, training off thier own backs the next day. That said a lot to me about thier attitude.
For me Tuson has progressed the hard way, a few hard seasons that didn't quite go his way on the occasional game and slated by some fans for it - but now he's flying along and it shows how much he had grown as a player/person by Wane handing him the captaincy v Hull FC.
Wish he was staying and we didn't have to keep Luaki and Gelling. They're both as useful as a helicopter ejector seat.'"
Gelling always goes looking for work on the pitch (usually top metre maker), scores a decent amount of tries, great footwork, plus he's a good defender hardly useless. Also, did Gelling not also have to progress the hard way when he had to play out of position on the wing all last year, whilst getting slated by our 'supporters' for his efforts? Then now when he's fractured his collarbone bit decided to put off his operation so he can help us win the final? Also, re: Mad Jacks - they didn't make the 19 man squad, so it would have been Crosby or Hughes jumping in if a prop or a centre got injured. Personally I'd have picked Gelling for Wembley but Thornley did have a good game. Did you see Gelling on Friday? He played out of his skin! 50/50 on who gets that left centre spot for the play offs IMO
