| Knowing the RFL we'll get a points deduction for playing a weak team and finish 9th

I'd prefer that side but my money is on Powell in for Spencer unfortunately.
What has happened to Burke? Ideal 13 surely?

They can't so long as the players are from your SL squad.
It is a pity the rule was changed some years ago about that. There would be no resting of players by any team for the playoffs and so that would be far better than this situation. Everybody would be in the same boat so no disadvantage. Doing it as they do now just reinforces the perception the season starts half way through Sept.

| FOUR CHANGES FOR WIGAN TRIP
Hull FC coach Peter Gentle has made four changes to his squad for Friday’s trip to Wigan Warriors in Super League.
Following the Tetley’s Challenge Cup final defeat to the same opposition on Saturday, the Black and Whites boss looks set to hand an opportunity to several young players as his side chase a home tie in the play-offs.
It sees Josh Bowden, Dean Hadley, Paul Johnson and Liam Kent drafted into the 19-man party for the trip across the M62 as Hull look for their fourth consecutive win in the competition.
The quarter replace the injured Gareth Ellis, Andy Lynch and Mark O’Meley, while former New Zealand hooker Aaron Heremaia is suspended after taking an Early Guilty Plea to a dangerous tackle in the Wembley defeat.

Oh aye, shame on Shaun Wane for not thinking about Hull KR! You're both on 26 points with Catalans on 28, you have Widnes and London in your last two games, Hull FC have us and St Helens, Catalans have Leeds and Wire. You should really be looking to finish 6th. It won't matter anyway though as you'll get knocked out in week 1 of the play offs wherever you finish

And the 12 games you lost had no bearing on your current league position, did they?

I would agree its double and triple cripes. I can only think it’s a question of sh*t or bust with this one, and I don’t think SW cares which it is. He doesn’t want the play offs to be a damp-squib that’s for sure. Is this the start of plan B or C? I can’t wait to see what he does for the Leeds game. Interesting!
