Dear me. The attack of the inbred intelligentsia. Like being assaulted by a dead sheep. So perceptive you can't even fathom which team I favour or where I live.
Shane Webke, the best front rower ever? Better than Lee Mossop? At 17.5 stones the same size as the ginger giant.

| Quote: tigertot "I know this is probably a bit much for your little brain to comprehend (you might want to ask your physics teacher), RL forward play is about power - speed, strength & weight combined. Farrell is a great club player who might develop into an international player, he has all the qualities apart from size.
What do the following world class players have in common?
A Farrell, Scully, Sam Burgess, Betts, Ellis, Morley?
The only other player I could think of in the L Farrell mould is JJB, another great club player & fringe international but not world class. Andy Platt is the same height as Farrell but developed into one of the best props in the world at well over 16 stones.'"
You might be able take this in your pee brain , your speaking !!!

| It's only two games in, but I've been encouraged by the combination of him and Blake Green. Green is a smart player and Farrell will thank him for some of the smart plays he makes to put Faz into space. Likewise the lines that Faz runs are top draw.

The second rule of arguing on the internet is.
Once your argument is proven invalid. Attack the spelling/grammer of the opposing persons argument.

And refuse to acknowledge the examples given which suggest that size is not necessarily a key factor even among rugby league forwards.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| Not been reading much, as once "Mr Arrogance" gets involved, it all gets a little boring. But, Mick Cassidy tackled well above his weight/size.

Fair enough, I agree Whatmough & Gillmeister are examples of world class palyers of a similar size to Farrell. I was thinking of British examples of world class back rows & couldn't come up with one. No-one else has yet. My point from the start, if some had bothered to read the thread, was that though I agree Farrell is a cracking club player he is too light to be international class & possibly he will develop into an Andy Platt type prop. So the genius suggesting a 17.5 stone front row is currently comparable looks as daft as he does suggesting I am a Loiner. At no point have I intended to be disrespectful to Farrell. It was a number of inbred hillbillies starting the insults, insecure when someone not from these parts tries to debate.

Another cracking club player but not the quality we need/needed to beat The Aussies.

Inbred hillbillies? Can someone please remove this annoyance? I know others on here delight in ridiculing him and I am loth to take away their fun but come on.....

No need for the insults, shows a real lack of intelligence on your part.

| Perhaps Liam's peformances in the first two league games justifies Shaun Wane's decision to give him the 12 shirt.
This was obviously promotion for him and in the first two games he has proved he's worth it.
SW made his decision way back when things were in a state of flux with Gaz Hock.
Whether SW's move with the 12 shirt was directed towards Hock or for the benefit of Farrell I've no idea.
What is apparent is that Liam Farrell has stepped up his game as he's stepped up into the staring thirteen.
Even if Hock or Hansen returned tomorrow, which they won't, figuratively speaking who would drop Liam Farrell?
Certainly not me!
