If I'd known it would be as poor as that I'd have pulled a Liam Ridgewell with my £13 why we didn't play more first teamers today is beyond me what's the point arranging 4 friendlies when only 3 have any element of first team about it, Leigh are dreaming if they think 2014 is a realistic target for Super League they were beyond poor today they must have knocked on 5 times in scoring positions, 90% of today's side won't even get a look in when it comes to the first team so why not play a blend of youth and experience using the likes of Lloyd & Gelling with Hansen, Hughes, Lauaki, Prescott, Tudon etc. I'm sorry but Thornley will not make it at Wigan he is hopeless under the high ball and countless times he forgot he had a Winger on the outside of him god help Richards if Thornley is ever his inside man. Logan will never be better than he is now he is at his limit now and why Taylor played today is beyond me it was his debut and I don't think he played much more than 20 minutes in the space of two spells on the field.

I wasn't basing it solely on today but when you consider that the banner in your stand says 2014 which is 1 season away and Leigh can only put 30 on a reserve side then that to me is worrying I saw at least 5 knock ons in try scoring positions against better opposition you would have been punished for such mistakes even in the Championship. This is without bringing up the fact that Leigh still happily field Rob Parker and Stuart Littler in your starting 13 in Super League they wouldn't last 20 minutes a game as both along with various other last look out of shape Duffy & Coyle included.

With the money that you lot recieve we could be a very good SL club. Anyone who has been to the LSV would see that the whole setup is miles better than most of the SL clubs. Get a grip.

Jesus wept sunshine, it was one game. We played with an inexperienced six and chopped and changed the team throughout the match. We weren't very coherent, but for a first hit out, against a very well organised and very motivated Leigh team, our lads showed up well.

We were rusty, with dropped balls, and missed opportunities but these can be worked on throughout the year. Kudos to Leigh though, they look to have a good side this year, and although unlikely, I'd love to see them in SL in 2014.

I agree with this, things have come a long way since the Hilton Park days [When the academy lads were paid in pound coins from the turnstiles!]

It's Funny TV Boy you think that purely on the money you get from Super League would make you a "very good SL Club" didn't see much of that from Widnes in 2012 and don't expect much better from 2013 with an equally decent setup. You had a 2,800 crowd and arguably 2,000 of that was Wigan fans so much so we were allocated a larger stand at an away ground for our reserve side and yet you think you'd be a very good side in SL and I'm the one that needs to get a grip.

There was comfortably 1,000 in the North Stand alone. I sat at the northerly end of the West Stand which was pretty busy with only a handful of Wigan fans as far as I could see. Can't comment on how many Wigan fans were at the other end of the West but as that half of the stand only holds c1,700 it must have been a bit of a squash if you had 2,000 there?!
