Quote: Rogues Gallery "I think Lloyd is a tremendous prospect and looks as though he has the frame to build on. His running line is excellent and has a decent pass in him (future 13?)
On Greg Burke, I'm not really sure. He doesn't seem to have progressed as much as I thought he would, however that may be because I had very high expectations of him. Next year will be a very important year for him if he is to make it to the very top.
Gelling was brilliant BUT I do wish at times he would back himself. That second half break when he tore down the middle he just needed to keep running in straight line towards the post instead of looking for a man to knock down.'"
Burke's defence seems to be really good, so while I agree that he's really failed to progress as hoped I think he could kick on a bit next year. He's shown that he's quick, has good footwork and good hands which is what you want from a forward but he's not showing that during games at the moment. I hope that it's a case of a slightly disappointing year and he will kick on from there. Having good defence is important for anyone who wants to step up.
Dom Crosby was very disappointing for me last year. At Widnes he looked average and for the under 20's he seemed to be constantly outplayed by Spencer and Burke and that's probably why they were given higher squad numbers, but Crosby has changed it around this year while Spencer seems to have dipped in form. So it's hard to be certain which of our props will end up being the best.
