Rhubarb isn't always a laxative,I had some on Saturday after my tea with some custard.
I was proper bunged up for two days.

| Sam is right, it will be different and i for one am glad and don't take offence. We do still have the railings, we do still have the slope (not for long though) our pitch isn't long but it is wide, we still have terracing at both ends (not for long though) and overall our facilities aren't as good as some of the new SL grounds but that's what helps make post office road what it is.
It has character and your players won't feel too uncomfortable with the facilities on offer and once they're out on the pitch nothing else will matter to them than winning the game.

| For some reason the railing really stick out in my mind, maybe it's just that the ground isn't that much different to any other ground other than the railings from the pitch (it's not like you spend a game looking at the facilities). I can't really remember the changing rooms, but now you mention it the pitch seemed almost square (Leeds also seemed very wide when on it).

Threads like these are just daft... lets boo 'S.Tonkins' because he believes Fevs ground will be different from the grounds hes played on in the past few years like Old Trafford, and the national stadium in Wembley.
Shame on you Sam, Shame on you.

| Although, now I think of it, I do remember the England (B-team) vs Cumbria at Whitehaven...the look on the pampered SL players faces when they saw the pitch on coming out for a warm-up was priceless
It did look like they'd been practicing the Cumbria ploughing championships on it though.

Also an idiot who is about 15 years behind everyone else (from Fev - so go figure).
He clearly feels the fact that we rent the DW is some kind of weak chink in our armour, which he's set his stall out to hammer at daily. Not apparently realising that everyone else thought this when we first moved there, only to gradually and reluctantly realise that we are a the DW to stay - on the basis of a long-term contract that will probably outlast his natural life.

Exactly. The fact that the grounds abit of a 'throwback' is with all due respect an advantage to Fev in games like Friday. It has character and is part of the reason a lot of Wigan fans are made up with the draw.
It brings back memories from childhood and this week feels like a 'proper' cup tie.

Well said Phil, looking forward to our visit on Friday, will try the " Lagoon " do they sell pies in there or just from " The Shed " ?
