I think it is one thing we have needed to address for a while, we have been too quiet on the pitch, as much as I don't like them but people like Briers and Sinfield have been bending the ear of the refs for years and it can influence things.

Rogues I accept what you are saying about Finch being a clever and influential player, but I think he is more structured than Briers.
What I like about him is his ability to put players through (mainly forwards) with the short pass. This is allmost undefendable close to the line.
Last season it was mainly Hoffman who could play off him,but this season it seems that Wayne has let him play his own game and other players are reaping the benifit.

Yeah, I believe he's off with Gaz Hock. Both cars have been prepared and are ready.

But, but, but Gareth Ellis signed and that was just a rumor
On a serious note, Finchy is a winner. He has a winners attitude and is a very intelligent player, these are the type of lads we need to keep hold of. Sign him up IL

Mind you, Nobles tactics did stifle the team.
Still a bit annoyed that Mrs B dragged him home after 2 years.'"
I think had Barrett been here under Madge we would have won the double each of the two years he was here and maybe with things going well on-field he things may have been better off it. A crying shame we had one of the best half backs ever under such a one dimensional coach as Noble.
We are lucky we have got another top class Aussie half back and we definitely need to keep him.

| Agree completely about signing Finch and Mic Mac.
Needs to happen before other parties start sniffing.

other parties will already be sniffing around, players agents will be touting their clients to clubs now for the best deals but without any contracts being signed or approaches made due to the anti-tampering laws, that was from david howes in an interview in the hull daily mail

| I'm resurrecting this old thread as there's been little noise from the club on Finch staying, he has expressed his desire to stay at the club it should be a conformity IL should sign one of our best players for the next two seasons.

| Let's hope that after todays performance as our General on the field of play we hear the news that IL has agreed a new 2 year contract with Brett and an option of a 3rd year for Wigan to retain him
