As for Briers, I would hope nobody would go so far as to applaud professional fouls or ungentlemanly conduct just because a player plays for them. I've rarely commented on Briers and 90% of what he does is brilliant for his team, even when it stretches the rules, but I reserve the right to call him on it when he breaks them.

Got to say my admiration for Briers went up a few notches last night. He was battered with blood pouring from his head and wobbling all over the shop yet refused to go off and that takes guts.

He's a cocky moaning sh*te but he's a cracking player and a real danger to us whenever we play them.

Mate, you keep saying this but read the rule above again. If the ref has retired the 10 then he is indicating the point where the players should be. The only exception is when the ref stays at the play the ball in which case the linesman is generally used as the 10 metre marker. The way you're interpreting this would be a free for all with players themselves being the sole arbiters of whether they are back 10 or not!

I would concede that Wigan have bigger crowds and Wigan have louder support and that Wigan are the best team to ever play rugby (although they are all patently not true)

All that matters, and every single person here knows it, is that 22-20 to Warrington.
