23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

The card idea would cost too much just to give fans a chance to get tickets first i cant see anyone going for that
Stubs can be exploited
You cant do anything without it costing loads of cash or being unfair

So I'm penalised for racing up the motorway at the final hour to get to the game after getting away from work early all to watch Wigan?
Ok...

What if, in an ideal world, the sport grew massively in the next few years and you couldn'y pay on the door due to demand, you'd be a bit screwed then wouldn't you?'"
I would.
But it isn't going to happen so...

| Season ticket holders get priority as it is which is correct. Ive never failed to get a ticket for any game ive wanted to attend. Theres been ample opportunity for anybody who wants a ticket for Saints away to get one by now through either club. Anybody who is a season ticket holder and claims they couldnt get a ticket is just making a poor excuse imo.

| DOESNT COST LOADS OF MONEY... i use card readers at work that download HGV driver cards which are very detailed in the info stored on them as they are recordable. It takes about 2 seconds to download on device which is portable and costs approx £300-£400 for the device.....this is then plugged into pc and files can be sent anywhere. A fan card would be even simpler as it it would have on it is your name , club and a member number......
As regards "your mate" using your card at an away game that's no problem as only 1 of you would be getting the loyalty reward needed for future purchases of limited tickets at big games

Say the cards cost £1 each your looking around £180,000 there now the rfl say that the Stobart deal is worth around 3-4 mill that a big chunk of cash out of the pot to reward fans cant see them doing it
Your point about only 1 person gets the loyalty reward wouldn't keeping stubs be cheaper and more simple?

If it's a choice between feeding your kids or a ticket what are you going to choose?

Well if you havent got the cash that means you cant afford to go. Everybody know roughly when the tickets will be on sale. It cant of been too long after pay day for a large percentage of fans when the tickets want on sale anyway.
What shall the club do? Hold back the tickets and check if everybody has got some money before they put them on sale?

Thats how it works in football mate, tough luck.
For example, I managed to get a Carling Cup final ticket but I was in the last sale even though I had been to Stoke away, City away, City at home, I hadn't recorded it on my membership, I had used my mates membership.

The card readers wont cost anything as they are already in place for the Latics.

This isn't pansieball. This is RL.
Accept that we're a minority sports and at THIS MOMENT IN TIME we don't have big enough demand to completely up haul how we distribute tickets for no more than 3 big games a year (Good Friday, Wembley & OT - no other game needs it. Not even Wire away or even that Semi-final you all got hairy about and embarrassingly we didn't sell out)

but if this said fan had loyalties based on the number of games they'd been to, would they get a free ticket this week for Saints? If not, how would they pay for it regardless of loyalties?
blooming heck. These particular tickets have been released the week after pay day anyway...
even if not, i've spent the past 3-4 week with £20 stashed away. i knew they where due, so i kept money aside.
if i couldn't afford it and had to 'feed my kids' then i'd be doing the right thing and not going to RL over my kids...
