NO...he is very talented player but is also a liability, he is more likely to lose us a game than he is to win one..i admire him for coming back from his misdemeanour but to me he isn't worth a place in the team

Hes a class act
All the greats had a nasty side Edwards, Bell, Murphy, Boyd, Morley, Gregory etc etc.
Don't get me wrong, gouging is a naughty thing to be doing and he deserves whatever ban he receives, but i am happy he decked Harrison.
Now i am only talking about the punch and before the "mock" outraged majority jump on me for wishing blindness on a player, i would prefer not to be seeing anything like that.
I LOVE it when a Wigan player decides to chin a Wire, Saints, Leeds player, its all part of the game and its why i pay my money.
Perhaps he is a liability but its not like he lost us the game. I like the excitement of not knowing what is going to happen next.

absolutely.
imagine if it was the other way round... harrison would be labelled a hero by the rest of the fans in super league without a doubt
but it wasn't and you don't f*ck with Hock, because he'll poke you in the eye..!

Don't think modern coaches would agree with you. I posted on Mike's board [ibefore[/i the CC final team was announced I thought Faz would get the nod because he fitted into the team better whereas Hock would possibly wander away form the game plan if things got to him.
Despite not being in favour of handing him a five year deal and being one who would not have lost any sleep had he not been given another chance by the club I won't write him off after one stupid act. The trouble is opposition sides will be trying to goad him into another having seen this and the question is can he be professional enough not to react? If he reacts and does something daft again then his best hope for a future at Wigan is Wane is not like Madge because Madge would not play anyone who he thinks was a liability.
Even now if he only gets a one match ban for the punch I'd be surprised if he were picked for the final if we get there.

Just what I was thinking. Started a mini brawl. Could have been ugly. Players who run in are usually dealt with. Briers isn't even mentioned.
Tommy was referred for grabbing a foot!

I am sure that modern coaches would disagree with me but you have to take the rough with the smooth with players like that. I like the regimented style of Wigan's game but i also like the thrills that a player like Hock bring to the table.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| Could somebody explain to me the difference in Tomkins holding two fingers up to the opposing fans, and briers clapping the opposing fans with a smirk on his face, surely they both mean exactly the same? F.......F. One obvious, one obviously disguised.

One's a blatant and daft gesture, the other is playing the panto villain to perfection.

How many times has Joel done this and how many times has he been banned for it.
