| Quote: warrior1973 "The sky team as well as everyone outside of Wigan want them to fail and it seems every offence or refs mistake gets highlighted and spoken about for days afterwards. For years people have hated Wigan rugby just like in football they hate Manchester United. Is this due to the success they've had over the years or is it that they are the biggest clubs on a global scale? Either way theres alot of happy people within rugby league today....including the sky sports team!!'"
It's not due to the success you've had over the years cos you've only been champions once this century. Today proved you are small fry compared to the teams that have been doing it on a regular basis. The main difference today was a referee that didn't bend over backwards to give you everything your players cried for. Despite that the officials still missed about 9 or 10 blatant forward passes from your lot, you could have been beaten by fifty today. You got off lightly.

What's Mr H done then?

The fact that you lot are even trying to make a deal out of the Sam and Clarke incident is laughable. The video ref looked at it tons of times and came to the conclusion that it wasnt even a penalty never mind a red card He doesnt even make contact with clarke (if he does he just scrapes his arm a tiny bit) but other than that his foot hits the ball trying to prevent the try which is just a natural reaction.
Im getting sick of the abuse Sam is getting. I wouldnt blame him if he f*cks off to rugby union tomorrow, especially seeing some comments on twitter. There are some real scumbags out there who are watching our sport and I wish it would be them that turn to a different sport but sadly it will be Sam eventually. I just hope he realised how much he is respected in Wigan, makes up for all the d*ck heads who seem to be trying their hardest to drive him away.

| I think i know the "trip" you mean. Lets get one thing straight, it is on nowhere near the same as Wilkin's trip against Hull KR. Morley was tackling Tomkins, and used his leg to tackle Tomkins. Was a very poor technique which he has used many times. Nithing more than a written warning needed.

Got to say I agree with you. The viciousness and hatred by some opposition fans comments on this forum towards the Wigan club and ST is really disappointing. Some contributors who I had previously considered to be balanced people (coinciding with a time when their club were winning trophies) have really shown themselves in their true colours now their particular club is not quite so dominant. It seems some fans can't handle defeat and are paranoid of a Wigan revival.

Which would be fine, if the ball wasn't grounded 2" short of the line, and given a free ride by Ganson... Not even a "Benefit Of The Doubt" on it... Unlike Tommy Leuluai's clear cut try last week, which was given Benefit Of The Doubt...

Sam kicked the ball, barely even made contact with Clarke's arm and certainly didn't touch his head.
Anyway, I've said to the Mrs today, after the past few weeks there's a small part of me wants Sam to go to RU, make his millions and stick 2 fingers back up at the small-minded bandwagon-jumping morons who are doing their best to make his life hell. I certainly wouldn't blame him if he did go, in fact I'd wish him all the best and follow his career with interest.

Genuinely, honestly and truthfully, without your pie-shaped glasses on, can you even entertain the idea that young Tomkins brings some of this on himself?
The fact that so many of you have convinced yourselves that every single criticism that's levelled at this precociously talented young man is born out of jealousy, is nothing short of astounding; it's like a cult.

The ball was only short after it had been kicked by tomkins, the camera angles conclusively showed that clarke had placed the ball on the line prior to getting the kick. I don't think there was anything wrong in the tomkins kick as there was no malice in it, just trying to prevent a try and would hope any warrington player would have the nouse to do the same.

First of all, point out where I've said it's jealousy? Oh, you can't, because I haven't. So wind yer neck in.
Yes, he infuriated people with some niggly aspects of his play but he had in fact eliminated most of them this season (trapping arms, etc), and this was widely accepted. But still the hatred and abuse continued, including the England booing. Now there's 2 fairly minor incidents in a week and the lynch mobs are circling.
I watch him every home game at the DW. When he's lining up for kick-off he stands on the dead-ball line, obviously very close to the away supporters for half the game. Almost every time some well-'ard prick (or indeed a good few of them) decides he's the man who's gonna tell little Sam just what he thinks of him. And 99.9% of the time he ignores it.
The abuse he receives is ridiculous and getting worse. Why shouldn't he just say, "screw it. I don't need this." RU crowds certainly wouldn't treat anyone in that manner.

newp, was clearly short when the ball carrying arm hit the floor... Of course, when clarke moved his arm forward a few inches... Double Movement... OOPSIE! Then there was the Microphone Head (what's his name) 'try' which he pushed Josh Charnley... of course Josh has the ability to change his direction in mid-air... Let's face it, Warrington won, and were the better team today, but the score-line is not a reflection on the actual running of the game.
