| Nothing at all wrong with the Smith interview or the Madge one for that matter. They gave their views and there was nothing at all controversial in them.
As usual people are reading things into them that don't exist.

| He says it how most honest RL fans see it and not like the one eyed tripe posting bilge type fans on here. For me he gives an honest opinion when asked.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

| I've seen all the TS interviews this season and he usually calls it as he sees it, there is nothing cryptic about him. If he thinks Sam is brilliant it's not secret code for 'actully i think he's a sh*th**se'.
You never know though it could be secret for come back to the team you supported as a boy wearing your Alfie shirt

| Tony Smith has never been the most convincing speaker seems to be a bit shy and reserved.

| His unconvincing interview technique seems to be the only thing anyone can have a go at him for tho,
I'm happy with that...
He is clearly impressed with ST for the player he is and the ability he has got.
He clearly sees that there are things about his 'persona' that aren't the best.
Like it or loathe it he could / should be the poster boy of RL in the future, he has everything and if promoted right he could help the game.
Or he could damage it.
He is in the spotlight because of his talents, that brings with it a certain level of responsibility. All he needs is a mentor of sorts (i.e. big lad who can smarten him up now and again)
Surely as wigan fans you'd be happier if no one could fins anything to criticise him for.
You'll know he's sorted himself out and become what (we all honestly hope) he can be, when we just start calling him ugly...

I agree with your post Smith does not come across too well but he obviously does the coaching well, you could say he is the opposite of Cullen who would use 10 words instead of 2 and the longer the words the better.

| If he's asked the questions why shouldn't he comment. Particularly about Sam staying in the game. Regarding the negative stuff he has experience - what has Sam done that members of his squad haven't.

| Spot on with the positive stuff. It's the negative stuff which I assume TS dealt with last year.

| Not sure why anyone can be upset with the interview. Seems all perfectly rational and logical to me.

10172_1376829585.jpg Dan Sarginson: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the biggest name in the competition" 18/10/2013
Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013
Romain Navarrete: āIām very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.ā:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |
