I can't confirm Bennett's exact words but I believe they were along the lines of "Strewth Ian, I wouldn't touch him with yours. He's a flammin' Gala". [/quote:1dso5atj]

| Quote: Cruncher "In the past I've rated Davies as a summariser, but, though he's entitled to his views, his attitude on Saturday was quite ridiculous. He seemed completely crestfallen that Wigan had won and made no effort to hide it. Very much like Kear last year.
I'd suggest that if some of these guys want to avoid losing money, they be more careful where they place their bets.'"
Balding was the instigator and orchestrator of the negativity. At one point she asked if this will long be remembered as the final that we stole from Leeds.
It was a real eye opener with regards to the presenters loyalty's.
Justin Morgan was sat with a little smile on his face though and was clearly enjoying listening to the others drip and moan.
Happy times

Not brilliant. You're right. In fact in three cases walking wounded, but still good enough to restrict Leeds's amazing second-half fightback to a mere 8 points.
That'll do.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

54062_1294991734.gif RLFans finest:
Maguire was a black mark on RL in this country. Whilst coaches like Daniel Anderson and Brian McLennan won championships on the back of exciting Rugby league, Maguire set out to win at all costs, evident by the way Danny Maguire was seriously injured and laughed at on the floor by the wigan players as he writhed in agony. Then there has been the constant bending back of limbs, trying to seriously maim the opposition. Even Phil Clarke has jumped on the bandwagon with his disgusting comments about the Danny Maguire incident.
I think its fitting that the 2 fairest teams in the comp, who have been on the receiving end of Wigans tactics should contest the Grand Final and make it a proper family day out instead of the knuckle dragging, salivating neanderthals from Wigan, that would pour into manchester on grand final day.
I for one cant wait to mingle with the Leeds fans and have a beer with them, rather than having to watch my arms and legs, should wigan have got there.[/quote:3t42372l]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_54062.gif |

I said to my mate at the game I don't think he's got that on the ground. Still not sure having watched a few times. Think it was the wrong desicion by Ganson (he made up for it though )

| Correct, Charnley had his hand under the ball, so no grounding, Ganson took 1 look I think to not see it, but then again......
Two of our tries should have been pulled back, along with their two for the non grounding and the non playing of the ball.....but even with that the result remains the same

| Mcguire and Leeds got what they deserved, nothing, I have not forgot how they reacted at Headingley towards the Wigan fans at the final whistle after the cup game.
Very sweet this w/end.

We are not moaning. We are just pointing out the moaing from the BBC presenters. They should have focussed their discussion on highlighting the good moments from both Wigan and Leeds. That sort of negative discussion does nothing for the sport of RL. Jonathan Davies was just a grumpy old man. Barry McDermott sets a better example. He always tries to highlight the good play even when it is Wigan.

My wife does not go to games these days. She used to before we had kids but she watched the final (had to turn the TV off close to the end because she could stand the tension :lolicon_wink.gif but you know what? She is obviously not into the game in a great way these days and unlike any of us not involved in the forums but said without any prompting from me "Why was that a try?" From the mouths of innocents comes the truth and that is the way I see her comment.

DONT JUST FOLLOW THE TEAM SUPPORT THEM: |
|
| The pundits on BBC also said Leeds were Champions for the last 3 years...if I'm not mistaken LAST YEAR WIGAN BEAT ST HELENS IN THE FINAL... Leeds did not appear at Old Trafford. Plus we score 12 points in the second half and Leeds 8 so how where Leeds winners of the second half.
Wigan didn't play at their best but we still won.

| Davies was at his best (or negative worst) on Saturday. He was bitter with his comments after the game; more than usual. All he does is go on about perceived errors, if you had no errors then no one would score in any sport not just RL.
