You'd struggle to make a really strong, competitive team out of those players. Too many sides in Super League.

The only players I'd enquire about are Leon Pryce (move into the halves with Finch), Ryan Bailey, Ray Cashmere and Michael Korkidas (all would make good fifth choice props).

Brett Ferres is a decent player. If Joel is staying in the centres then he could be a useful addition.

You're right, there are several mistakes. Cashmere is retiring and most of the Crusaders players are fixed up.

Error prone apparently, but that can be fixed. Could be a useful addition. I remember when he was at Bradford and he had a lot of hype surrounding him, but he never quite lived up to it.

Just the old 'blessed with second rowers' argument will possibly put that one to bet. I really like the look of Jack Hughes. Impressed me when he's been given the chance.

leon pryce is the only player on that list i would look at..if fully fit

That list proves how hard it is for clubs like Widnes to recruit quality and also why 14 teams in superleague is too many.

A fully fit Pryce and Bailey as a wind up merchant of a 5th choice prop are the only 2 I would consider.

It's different for us though, there's some players on there that would be good signings for Widnes.

If I was a Widnes fan, the likes of Phelps, Walker, Pryce, Herbert, Bailey, Fisher, Raguin and Lauaki would all please me if they were signed.

Looks like Harlequins are doing the correct thing and bolstering their forward line. Just a shame it's a season too late with their talented backs jumping ship.
