Thats the problem with playing to the age he is. The older you get the more chance you have of having to retire through injury. I'd hate to see him retire for something like that though as it would be pretty horrible for the rest of his life. I'd also hate for him to retire at all for injury. Lets hope that he retires for age not injury.

Tbf the main problem against wire isn't their pack, it's their backs. We still have to find a way of stopping briers, myler and the two monaghons (sp). So to say the contest is a done deal is rubbish.

However, if Morley and Harrison aren't playing then a tactic like we played vs Saints and Huddersfield would be perfect. Dominate the forward battle and have a good kicking game.

By the way. When is the last time someone can be added to a squad? I.E could this be a bluff, Smith not name him in the squad, then boom on Saturday, he starts?

Sounds like 4 props as well as Hock is the way to go and bully them up the middle to win the forward battle. On the back of that get Hoff and H running wide directly at Briers and Myler as much as possible in the opening 20 minutes.

This. Morley may not carry the workload that he used to do but he's still capable of putting a monster hit in that can both lift his team and change the momentum of a game. I'd rather face a Wire team without Morley any day of the week

By saying that both may/may not play, they DO NOT need to be named in the official squad and Wire could simply say Morley and Harrison have passed a test and can play.

As others have mentioned - i'd put money on 1 if not both being in the 17 come Saturday. Tony Smith has played games with his team/squad alot over the past few seasons and it'd come as no surprise to see it happen again.

I'll only believe it when the whistle blows. Regardless of whether he will or will not play I hope this is not the end of the road for Morley, loves the game, gives it his all and seems a decent enough bloke and to have problems with your sight must be horrendous and wouldn't want any player to have to end their career that way so I wish him well.

id much rather see him retire than do himself some serious harm. great player past and present and someone that wore is heart on his sleeve but his priority has to be his health and his family and if that means retiring then he should. be horrible to see him take a big shot to the head and something go wrong. I love rugby league but its not worth doing yourself some serious damage for. we always be remembered as one of the great british forwards whenever he decides his career his over.

If he plays he plays, if he doesn't nothing changes. Wire will still have seventeen players determined to win the game, just as we will. It won't change Maguires attitude to the game.

We might not have Morley but at least we have the ref on our side.
