Central Station is on there at the top, The stadium is further above.

I know where it is but it isnt on that map and that is where the op probably has the problem having previous knowledge requirements means a map is usually unhelpful.
Theyre also after Bank Quay station which is down at the bottom left.
This is also proof a wire fan will literally argue anything even when wrong!

Ignore the scare mongerers mate, you have nothing to fear at all.
The police and the army are well drilled with our home games, as you come down the A49 past McDonalds you will see a police water cannon in the distance just outside Tesco, their is one on Dallam lane as well for further piece of mind.
If thats not enough reassurance then outside the Lord Rodney you will probably see a line of police with riot shields and dogs, at both Central and Bank Quay stations you won't need to worry either as their will be a few armoured hummer's and mounted police to escort you to the ground.
Anyway, enjoy the game.

at the end of the park there is another crossroad type junction
go across and head under the railway bridge this is froghall lane stay on this road until you reach the Three pigeons pub turn left here onto Dallam Lane
you'll be at the West stand then..

| In my experience its both sides bellend fans who kick it off and are equally to blame.
Trouble at wire games usually start something like this.....
50 or so bell end pre-pubescent wigan fans start singing anti wire songs and w:@nky warrington walking through the town centre, and start singing at people who haven’t even been to the game and are just in the centre of town……some of the wire mob get irked and challenge it.....wigan bellends goad back – “wire aint got no history”, “were the greatest club”, “your a small town in widnes etc.” and it all then kicks off.
Our bellends are as much to blame as theirs....its like poking someone with a stick incessantly and then wondering why they have a go back.
If you walk through the town like an adult after the game and keep away from the ale'd up wigan kids pretending to be men you'll be fine.

The wigan fan who walked into the Railway club singing w**** w**** warrington last season obviously was. He found it too, when he was thrown through the doors.
Keep your mouth shut and there won't be any trouble.

Yeah as was I as I posted to let the OP know that the map given wouldnt be helpful and he argued back wrongly. Also I wont end up in Widnes based on the fact that I'm in Newton-le-Willows and know Warrington better than I know Wigan as I learnt to drive there and have worked there for the past few years as well as doing most of my shopping there. I am especially proficient in routes to bank quay as my girlfriend got the train there back from uni every week for the last 3 years and I picked her up and, as she usually came back at rush hour, I had to learn better ways there to avoid large queues.
Also if the OP is reading these are the directions I gave before except they are the directions from the station. Reverse these and this is exactly where you want to go.

| 18th man is right definitely..
But like a few have said.. majority of the wire fans are good genuine folk, you do get a few a**eholes.
But its not the fans who cause the trouble. its the w*nkers who have been on the all day in the town centre.
After the game. win or lose. they hang outside a pub (from memory i think its called the kings head)
then they attack more or less every wigan fan in sight, from kids to old women. ive seen it happen to both of these groups.
a lot of you may find this laughable but i can safely bet the people laughing are the people who get coaches to the hj each season, seeing no trouble at all.
3 out of the last 4 seasons me and my friends have been assaulted. and we don't go ''looking for it'' we unfortunately get caught in it.
i will be catching the train there on saturday. regardless what happens.

| I'm not on the wind up here, 18th man is right. And it's not all down the wire lot, iv seen faces at Warrington away (Wigan lads) that I never see at any other game apart from wire, it attracts idiots from everywere this fixture. Having witnessed it first hand twice now I'd advise any Wigan fan to not go by train. There is a large group of non colour wearing wire fans that congregate in the pub across from the station and wait for the Wigan lot to walk past, twice in 3 years iv seen major trouble and a lad got glassed last season. As I Said the situation is fuelled by boozer up "day trippers" from Wigan that get the train just as much as the wire lot. I said as soon as this was drawn and saw the kick off time that I'd expect a massive police presence for this and I genuinely can't see it passing without trouble.

Central is worse probably, it's surrounded by horrible pubs full of Warrington's finest scum.

And the woman who was punched under the railway bridge when not singing anything.......this is fact as it was my partner who was punched by some c*ck who clearly had not been to the game.
The 430 KO for this game will bring out the idiots who will NOT be attending the game. Safest bet for ALL Wigan fans walking back to BQ Station is to keep going with your head down and keep your mouths shut. Head back to Wigan and enjoy a few beers back home.
