| Just to add, very impressed with the Police. Thought they'd be mugged to be honest but they put in a great effort and came very close to beating Saints and would have given Wigan a better game but for conversions.

| BTW it looks like I'll be making the trip up to Whitehaven for Match Night 4 on Tuesday 28th June but for the 99.99999999999999999999999% of Wigan fans not going, BBC Radio Cumbria will be doing match commentary on the night, which you'll be able to listen to online!

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Yes, very few Wigan fans there tonight, so can't see more making the effort for Whitehaven! In fact it does beg the question why was the event at Wrexham when Crusaders aren't even it in, although the local crowd wasn't too bad considering that.

Yeah - not many there. I think it could have been promoted a whole lot better than it was, but unfortunately it seems that the RFL left it up to the host clubs to market it as they saw fit, and even charge what they wanted for it. I phoned Wrexham about 3 weeks ago to inquire about prices and start times, and they knew nothing about it! I think we'd have seen a much bigger crowd if it was promoted better.
Having said that, praise must go to the RFL (or someone) for a great concept. Together with the Exiles game, that's 2 great ideas in quick succession! Shame they haven't quite got everything right about both.
I liked the speed of the game - no scrums - just tap restarts or hand overs, which makes for non-stop action. Also, no kicks off the ground - all goals were drop goals. I suggest everyone gets to next week's game - you'll love it!

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

| I have a feeling Gareth Hock will play in the games at Whitehaven.

Good to hear the Police side did well, 100% Warrior off this board plays for them, learned everything he knows off his Dad apparently.

A few are/were very good academy players that did not quite make the grade for whatever reason, so the experience is defiantly there.
