Confirmed by Dave Parker and a fake twitter account?

| Sadly Shaun Edwards probably wont be returning to league just yet. Although I think now is a good time to remind ourselves just what he achieved at Wigan - 3 World Club Challenges, 7 League championships (six in succession), 9 Challenge Cups (8 in succession), 5 Premierships (3 in succession), 7 Regal trophies, 5 Lancashire cups (4 in succession) and 3 Charity Shields. A Wigan-born lad, who is the most decorated player in Rugby League history in a career spanning 14 years at Central Park. One day he will return home...

| Quote: jonh "I have heard formal talks had occurred a few months ago, after that the trail went cold, seems to be warming up again now.
I would expect Edwards when he returns (I say when as it is only a matter of time in my opinion) will come in as a hands on coach possible in a director of rugby role but not as first team head coach.
He and I do not think any fans realistically expect him to walk back in and be a head coach, when to be fair he has not paid his dues in our code. I think assistant coach/defensive coach though would be not necessarily be befitting of his profile as a sportsman.
One thing that excites me that if he were to return I expect to see the levels of intensity increase on the pitch, which was my major concern about losing Madge.'"
That is the one thing I would not be worried about when Madge leaves. Our two most intense displays last season were both when Wane was in charge. We were so clinical and our defence was superb and agressive.

| He would make a first class head coach and if he wants it, he should get it. Can't quite believe people are arguing that the game's most decorated player and a man steeped in the game's methods and traditions hasn't served his time in League! His recent union background and experience of life outside Wigan RL is a bonus in that he will approach the job with fresh ideas as well as a respect for what has already been achieved.
Worrying for Wales RU though (I say with my daffodil and dragon hat on)

| My wifes cousin is a good friend of Shaun, he used to hide out at his house when the press were chasing him all the time when he was playing for Wigan.
As far as he knows, unless something dramatic has occured to have changed the situation he is not coming back yet. He has signed for a further 2 years at Wasps and wants to see his kid grow up and to finish his education before he moves back up North.
Having said that he would love the chance to coach Wigan in the future.
