But he was played out of position for a lot of that season and actually watching his highlights on youtube he was doing a lot of what he is doing now.
Finch has walked into a championship team from a serious injury. He will come good. He was much improved.
Comparing Finch to Richards is just silly.

| Watching the highlights of Wigan on Sky Sports News last night, Finch supplies the flat pass to send Hoffman through for Sam's try. He also provides the offload for Farrel to send Lockers over. Sadly it only showed three of the tries, but still Finch was the provider in two of them.

I agree. Totally different set of circumstances.

| Still not totally convinced, but optimistic with yesterdays performance; still waiting for his kicking game to come to the fore. One thing I can't knock him on is his tackling, first rate and solid. Perhaps it's me, but he does like to pass to Hoffman and Lima a lot.

Probably because he can close his eyes and know where they'll be.

| Still stand by what I posted 02/04/11
" Watched him closely last night ( at the game ), he is going to be a great signing, he is obviously getting up to match fitness, this will take time, but he is a winner and a leader on the pitch just what we need, think Finch, Sam and Tommy will become a dangerous triangle."

| He was brilliant on monday. His kicking, passing and tackling was second to none, the reason why we signed him. It still bemuses me though how certain sections of the support still give him stick. It seems wigan always need a scape goat, even when the scape goat is playing well!
