I thought Liam Farrell was our best player tonight and going off form he would probably just edge Joel Tomkins for a starting place. The funny thing is Joels been excellent in pre season aswell and to say he shouldn't be starting seems crazy.
The backrow options are so good it's untrue.'"
Hoffman probably will start but I didn't notice him doing much in either friendly whereas Joel, Farrell and Tuson were all on fire in both. You're right we do have great options, no wonder they're trying to turn Joel into a centre!

I think we'll see plenty of Joel at centre this season simply because of the back row options.
I thought Hoffman was very good tonight outside of a couple of little errors. He ran the ball very strongly especially in the first half and produced a couple of cracking offloads when linking up with Sam Tomkins.

| With anywhere near a full squad this season, Madge has some serious selection headaches that's for sure!

| Lima's boom was on Anderson, not Morley (it's was difficult to spot who it was cause they all seemed to have the same haircut!!)
But needless to say, it sat his on his !!

Loads will disagree and I'm not trying to have a go at Hoffman but I'd pick a form team and go with this for Saints
Ive got a feeling that Mcillorum will start at 9 in Cardiff. Was given a lot of game time yesterday

Perhaps, I reckon 40 each for him and Deacon either way, just started Deacs because I think McIllorum brings more impact

| I'm so glad Lima is the player we all wanted. Of the games we lost lost and others we came close to losing last year. I felt it was due to us struggling up front against bigger and more aggressive packs. But with Lima and Hoffman on board and not forgetting Hock, I doubt it'll be a concern of mine again.

Its a hard one to call. But while we are on the Lima thread, he really looks like the front row we have been looking for

| Hopefully Gleesons fit for saints. Joel is alot better in the second row although he is a good centre. Lima is an absolute animal! that shot on hodgson was one which brett definately felt. I also thought roberts looked alot more like his old self, was really good last night.
A line up of:-
Roberts
Goulding
Gleeson
Carmont
Charnley
Sam Tomkins
Deacon
Prescott
McIllorum
Lima
Hoffman
Joel Tomkins
O'Loughlin
Farrell
Mossop
Coley
Leuluai
assuming fielden,hansen,richards,finch are out.

They both came off the same in that hell of a colision and it was only the Wire defenders hat kept Lima on his feet. I was about 15ft away and there was a shock wave when they came together. Both players went back about a yard from where they had come from. Two very commited hard rugby players. Never ever seen a collision like that at such close quarters. Being a Leyther I would have Lima and Anderson in my dream team and god help the opposition. Good addition Mr Lima for you Pies.

Very impressive consideing I don't recall ever seeing Anderson getting knocked over when smashing someone. Even after just 1 game Lima has become my favourite opposition player in superleague. I was in the Wigan end last night and the tackle on Hodgson was awesome. Reminds me off Rampage Jackson aswell.

| Very impressed with the big man, he's aggressive going forward and likes to put in the big hit.

| Cannot wait to see him take the first ball in at MM and put the ginger whinger on his backside.
Loved it before the kick off when he was prowling around beating his chest,he may be an animal but he's our animal.

| Fans favourite after two pre-season friendlies.
Well done big man. Rough, tough and plays the game with a big smile on his face too.
