A number of times I have queued for match tickets last season and overheard such deals being made in the next kiosk. (Such as OAP's getting in certain games for £1 each)!! |

Sounds about right with 5k from Newcastle tbh.
The funny thing is they play Fulham a week Saturday, probably the only team as notorious as them for poor away support and will only bring a couple of hundred. Could next Saturdays relegation 6 pointer be a sub 10k premiership attendance? Unless the latics marketing boys can pull a rabbit out the hat, or massage the crowd figure next week I think that could be tested, and would possibly be the worst ever premiership gate (I dont even think Wimbledon fell that far!!) !!

They've been inflating the crowd figure at home games for a while now. Even ardent Latics men admit they've less than 10K home support this season.
