| I actually like Jamie Peacock.
Him and the Leeds Twitter regiment are all doing a fine job of sticking up for their mate Danny McGuire who comes across as a decent, well respected and popular lad with everybody linked to the Leeds club. Naturally, they can't seem to accept that what Danny did was cheating and unsportsman like and can only see it from their point of view & using any criticism towards McGuire as a way of venting/blaming their fustration towards the injury.
They're wrong, but it shows good team spirit I suppose.

| The 'twitter regiment' just makes our game look amateurish
We need a Richard Cockerill approach to it - ""The next time he does that, I'll break both his ankles" he said of a player who tweeted that he was injured.
"None of our players will be tweeting or Facebooking anything about Leicester rugby club ever again."
As for The Leeds game, we need not get involved in sledging, or biff during the game. We just need to beat them.

Quote: Cruncher "Perhaps you think that Peacock's blatant misrepresentation of the truth will distract attention away from your own club's extremely poor record of sportsmanship this season.
Perhaps you also think that you coming on here like this, pretending you think it's funny, will make us believe that you're not absolutely bricking it.
You're wrong on both counts.'"

As for bricking it, Leeds and Wigan have met twice this season so far in games "that matter" haven't they?

So the two league games (that the 4 points we gained ensured we finish top) were unimportant then?
Granted, Leeds have had the edge in the 'one-off' games, yet won by 2 points and 1 point. Hardly stuff that should have us running scared.

I never claimed you had anything to worry about unlike Cruncher the clown who thinks Leeds fans are bricking it.

Each new Leeds loudmouth who comes on here to squeak that this fixture isn't bothering him only convinces me more and more that the opposite is true.
You're the latest.

Looks like Peacock has got you all rattled judging by your reaction to a bit of two bit reporting in a local rag.
Mission acomplished from him. Imagine that this has wound the Wigan players up as much as their fans. Be a decent bit of biff on Saturday.

Considering you are travelling away to Leeds, who finished 4th, to get to OT - yes they were.

| Imagine you are out jogging when you trip on a curb and feel your knee go, causing extreme pain - do you
a) go for the nearest grass verge as quickly as possible.
b) grab onto a passing cyclist for stability?
The fact that the leeds camp have tried to make out that McGuire was trying to support himself by using Carmont after injuring himself - rather than what actually happened; he grabbed him, clipped his boot and hyper-extended his knee has made the situation much worse.
At the time I was fuming that McGuire had tried to hold Carmont back; but after it became clear that he was injured; I felt sorry (as I do when any player is injured). However the comments from McClennan in the post match interview, combined with the "he was trying to support himself" waffle has meant a lot of bad blood. Why couldn't McGuire just hold his hand up and say "I didn't deserve to be injured; but I shouldn't have pulled Carmont back"? The RL community would have had a lot more respect for him and it would have made the fans that said "he deserved it" change their minds.
As it is, it appears the Leeds camp are trying to stir things up for the match on Saturday making it likely that whoever gets through to the final will be depleted, either from suspension or injury; making the Saints/Giants job much easier. What worries me more is that silly talk like this makes crowd trouble more likely - and that is something that we definitely don't need in rugby league.

| This straight from the Leeds book on myopia in that it's the same as their interpretation of the Ablett/Sam incident.
Leeds fans of course maintained that their man never hit Tomkins and that Sam was milking the penalty.
I wonder what Peacock's opinions on that incident were!
At least the SStanders don't get their crackpot views in the paper.
Peacock needs charging with bringing the game in to disrepute.
