As for Wigan not winning the GF, I believe we will get there. We will play Leeds or Hull at home and then will play one of those again at home to get to the GF.

We will play wire or Saints in the final and we have beaten them both this year. To say that we won't win is silly because we can.

The main issue I have with the current play off format is the strong possibility that teams have the same fixtures twice within a series. Plain daft.

Good chance week 1 will be

Wigan v Leeds
Saints v Wire

and week 3 will be

Wigan v Leeds
Saints v Wire

plain stupid. Leeds can finish 4th and afford to lose a game and still win the GF!!!
We only have to lose one game to not get to Old Trafford. All previous 1st place finshers prior to 09 have had to lose twice to be prevented from going to OT. Only the RFL!!!!!!

Merely pointing out a fact that both have beaten wigan, at wigan may i add. I personally would hate to have to predict the GF winners because i think it's going to be an exciting playoffs that at least 1 of 4 have a good chance.

No, I was merely pointing out that if you have a good look at this board and stay around for a while, you'll see a never ending stream of low post count recently registered Wire fans who when you check out their posting history, spend the majority of their life on the Wigan board stirring up trouble - several of them I suspect are the same people getting banned and making new accounts (quite why that isn't fixed I don't know). It's been like this for over a year now, and i've beyond lost patience with it.

However, looking at your second post on this thread in response to me, you don't seem to be one of them, so I apologise for being so terse - you're more than welcome here if you play nice.

back OT, i'm with you, it's going to be really hard to predict the GF winners and it's going to be the most exciting play-offs for a long time. The injury couple of injuries at Saints and Leeds and ourselves make it even more unpredictable, as does the play-off format. I've got a sneaking feeling Wire will go well as I think there's a sense of urgency in your team and players to make it happen either this year (or maybe next), or it's not going to for quite a number of them - that hunger will be good for you.

I think the fact that were injury free as opposed to the other top 4 teams will stand us in good stead. I still wouldnt write leeds off though although i think they'll find it hard to pick themselves up. I fancy us to get our much desired win at knowsley road ( just wishfull thinking but after saturday's performance you never know.) and a wigan, wire final. Damn i said i wasnt going to make predictions.

I think you'll do very well, the lack of injuries combined with some players who can really stand up and turn things will stand you in very good stead. Defend like you did on Saturday and you'll definitely get that KR monkey off your back

i agree there. Think that's the next big challenge now for TS, to finally break the knowsley road hoodoo and lead us to a GF.
