| The offiah try is my all time favourite simply because of the pure individual brilliance of a lendendary player in an important game playing at the peak of his career. Sheer magic.
The Radlinski try against Bradford because of the excitement of winning such a close game in the last second to go top of the league.
The Calderwood try at Bradford in play-off was also memorable because it sealed such an amazing come back. What a swing of emotions that game provided!
Another favourite of mine was the first try against Saints in the final game at CP. The atmosphere was tense that day and the amazing break from Robinson so early in the game signalled Wigan's pure determination to win that historic game. To score such a great try when there was so much at stake was amazing.
I was always thrilled by the many tries scored by John Ferguson. The long range one he scored at Warrington in the CC in 1985 sticks in my mind.

| My personal favourite is an Andy Gregory try at Thrum Hall in the late 80's. From what I remember he ran virtually the length of the pitch contantly looking for someone to pass the ball to, before realising that he had crossed the Halifax try line with the Wigan fans screaming at him to put the ball down. Great try and quite amusing too.

I was at that match, and it was tied at 8-8 with about four minutes left. Had the score stayed like that it would have been the third successive draw with Halifax.
That was also the first try Andy Gregory scored for Wigan, after about four months of being with the club.

| Watching those youtube highlights has just reminded me of another one. It was a JPS/Regal Trophy match at Central Park and we went 12-0 down to Leeds in no time. We came back but it was still touch and go until Mark Preston took the ball in his own half and took in what appeared to be an easy ball. He stopped running, dummied the ball, then literally f*cking legged it to the line to put us in front.
That was a fantastic try, and one that i can't believe hasn't made it online yet, considering that the BBC were there, Yorkshire TV were also providing full coverage from a scaffolding gantry on the popular side, AND CP Productions were there, all covering the match.

| Has to be Offiah's try against Leeds at Wembley. I was hilarious to see Alan Tait tie himself in knots trying to keep up with him and then blame someone else for him scoring - absolute class

| 2 that stand out for me are.....
1. Hanley v Saints at Wembley when he was the best player in the world and tore them to pieces.
2. Dean Bell at Headingley in 1992. It was the first time Hanley played against us for Leeds and we had a tap penalty on the half-way line. Deano (playing opposite Hanley at 13) beat the whole Leeds side to the line and we won 24-0.....brilliant!

| Quote: Fames "Saw all the 85 and 88-95 tries too. Does anyone remember Trevor Lake's try and fantastic dive in the 65 final against Hunslet? He must have dived about 5 yards from the corner for the crucial final try. Can still be seen on old videos. Trevor Lake was the first of my "heroes"!'"
Only the other day I was holding the ball used in the 1965 Cup Final !!!!!, I remember the Final, it was the first time I had seen us win the Challenge Cup (having seen us lose in 1963), was sat in the corner where Lake scored.

| seems most of the best ones are on the internet...but pre internet....i remember quite a few, but time erases which games they were
trevor lake at CP..........dove over in corner and grounded bal why about 2 foot off the ground moving parrallel to the ground, and landed 5 yard behind where he grounded it.
boston........towards end of career when he was built like a prop........just ran straight and flattened 6 or 7 players on his way to the line...no funesse, just brute force
hanleys side ways run and hop skip and a dance at wembley......class
carney..v leeds at headingley
and one i can never remeber who scored it because i was on a freebie in west stand lounge with free bar and i was a bit p!ssed.......may have been renouf?........v bulls ?........................chucking it down...kick through...chase....and dove about 15 yrd short of the line and slid along and grounded the ball .......match winner i think?

| Probably Offiah rounding Tait in the CC final.
Closely followed by Hanley crabbing sideways in the CC final.
Mainly because of a combination of the occasion and the individual brilliance requierd for both - not many other players would have scored either.
Favourite international try - Henderson Gill scoring down the touchline against the aussies...............
