| Quote: Tricky Dicky "Wigan could well have 5 players missing through injury tomorrow.
Carmont, Coley, Riddell, Prescott and Hansen.
It has been a long time since we have been in a position to go in to a game with such injuries and still be confident of our depth.
To add to this we still have a further 4 players out on loan,
Ainscough, Tuson, Davies and Holland.
We have some real strength in depth this year.'" Don't forget Jonny Walker at Blackpool.

Another example of him not getting off the floor under the high ball too. No way am i knocking him but i feel better having Pat and Amos under the high balls.

| Took this from the Sky website about tomorrows game.
Wakefield coach John Kear says his team will be getting to grips with Wigan's so-called "wrestling" tactics as they seek to repeat last year's win at the DW Stadium.
The Warriors have established a reputation for being able to dominate the ruck under new Australian coach Michael Maguire, but Kear insists his side will be up for the challenge against the league leaders.
"It is a tough one but they will think it is tough as well playing us," he said. "I have seen a lot of Wigan - they are a good team - I am into WWE as well!"

| What ever happened to respect in RL?
Kear, a coach I used to respect, has fallen into the moaning, jealous type of coach we've seen all season. You ain't as good as us so instead of offering the due respect he's keen to diminish and belittle the good wins WRLFC have had this season.
We are top of the league because we've played the best rugby simple as.
Show some respect ffs.

| Sir Alex Ferguson been doing it for years at Man United. Little psychological comments trying to influence the officials and they we play. Sadly, the focus and pressure boots'n'all, sky and other coaches are putting on wigans control of the ruck seems to be having some affect on the officials over recent weeks. Its within the rules and any team can control the ruck like we do its just that we do it really well because we have been focusing on it and perfecting it in training. By the way Boots'n'All was pathetic on Wednesday all footage of wigan was around the way we control the ruck and will prob be same this week its a joke lets have a balanced view i.e. show other areas of our game were we were good.

| If everyone is fit would hope to see unchanged team with the exception of Phelps at fb and Goulding down to bench Deacon to drop out. Or happy to keep Goulding in team with Phelps on bench. Keep the momentum going. If any injury worries would be happy to see Farrell in 17.

| You would think the way coaches are talking that we'd wrestled our way to the top of SL???
We've had some big scores this season and they all can't be down to the wrestle tactic can they? You'd think we've been winning our games 4-0 or 6-0!!!

A good post. It has had a huge effect on the way the referee's manage our games. Steve Ganson came out with the sole intention of penalising Wigan for slowing the ruck down. The opening ten minutes were ridiculous. The more attention that is brought to it the worse it is getting. It's irritating because it's only a small part of how we are playing so well. Not to mention it's perfectly legal!

| People are losing sight of the key point.
Yes, it is bloody infuriating that we are getting targetted from all sides, the real reason being, the rest of RL - coaches, pundits et al are scared to death that we are about to return to the top and stay there for some time.

| it was the same when we were winning everything. People still moan that we were only dominant because we bought a team and were full time were as evryone else was part time. What they seem to not realise with their blinkers on is that there was no rules stopping any other team doing the same as what wigan were doing.

I think it shows how frustrated top coaches are becoming of the officiating at the play the ball, when a coach as respectful as Kear is commenting on it. The NRL style simply doesn't work with only one referee, especially when that one referee if of a poor standard.
