Get in there my son! Really happy with that! In 5 years if he has won a few GFs and CC and throw in a WCC I wouldn't begrudge him a move to the NRL.

When ever the club make an excellent decision like this it not only makes me smile but I also shudder when thinking about the past decade.
Letting all our senior players leave at once, appointing Milward, being under DW's control, the way we treated Mike Greg, letting the likes of Wild etc leave and the dark days of Wilkes, Jonkers and Moran.
If anyone had ANY doubts about IL then days like this will shut them up for a long time yet.
IL= The best thing to happen at Wigan since Uncle MO first walked through the door with a dream to build a Wigan dynasty.

Fully agree. In his short time IL may not have gotten EVERYTHING right (which he'd probably admit to) but he's certainly 98% there!
Well done to everyone involved, maybe we can finally start to rid the reputation that Wigan allow their talented youngsters in favour of over the hill Aussies.

Made up with this news.
Bought the league express this morning on my way to work and read the rumours about him moving to the NRL. I got in 30mins ago and told my dad the paper reckoned he was destined to leave at the end of the season and both of us were pretty gutted until I went on the internet and read that he'd signed a new 5 year deal.
This lad can be anything he wants to be and further down the track maybe he should go and test himself in he NRL but first he should build a career here and it's great that he's going to do that at Wigan.
Superb.

You have to ask serious questions about Noble - Mossop wasn't given a chance until he excelled with Huddersfield, and Flanagan wasn't given a chance until he had decided to leave.

Not really.
Hock was still here last year which, given the form he was in, would limit any young guys game time.
Mossop and Flannagan benefited from Hocks stupidity and Lockers hamstring injury as well. |
