It is a little strange though if it turns out to be true that a player can be dual registered but still allowed to go out on loan if a super league club comes in?

Mainly im just peeved as Shaun is a good player but hey ho what can you do!

Yes from a saints amateur team, but come through our academy.At least we are not like salford,claiming myler as one of their own, when came from the widnes academy.

Think Paddy Flynn probably just misses out on being home grown for us. The rule being you have to have been on the books for 3 years before your 21st birthday. As far as I can remember Flynn played in our academy in 2008 and played in our 1st team in 2009. Problem is he is probably joined us when he was 18/19 and is now 22. If we would have signed him before his 18th birthday he would have counted.

Heard ainscough got a hamstring injury, so be a few weeks out anyway.Dual would have to be terminated and agreed by widnes aswell, as it is a year contract?So i can not see him going to castleford their rivals, so a silly rumour.Say amos roberts or pat richards got injured?They would need ainscough then so i think dual be the best contract for wigan.If went to castleford they would want for a season.Rumours make me laugh.

It's going to be interesting finding out exactly why he's been called back. I honestly can't see it being to play in the first team this Friday unless somebody picked up an injury we don't really know about.

My guess would be that theres something in the link with Castleford as we did similar with Lee Mossop last year recalling him from Barrow so we could send him to a superleague club in Huddersfield.

Could be a good move sending him to Cas. If Owen is out for the whole year as suspected, a full year playing in SL can do nothing but good things for Shaun.
