188 Bet use it for 'paying out' after a game. Not that I've ever known a bookie to pay out! icon_wink.gif

We're coming to make some noise!:

Wait a second...if you brought to Craven Park the amount of fans we brought to yours last night you would fill the temporary seated stand at the North end of our ground. However you are lucky to fill two sections of it when you and most other teams come.

So before you start saying we brought a poor following on a cold wet Friday night for a game that was on Sky you might want to get your own house in order first. As pointed out you had about 40 away fans the previous week and still got a bigger attendance.

I only wish Craven Park could fit 12.5k in it and do it regularly so to be disapointed about that amount is remarkable. But then to say we brought poor numbers is a very weak statement and unless you can sell more than 1500 tickets to come over to East Yorkshire on what will probably be a Sunday afternoon then I'd suggest you dont complain about our travelling support.

Quote: ned76 "well thats wiganers for you,ham fisted and tight, its no good keep making excuses for people in this town, they would rather spend thier money watching wigan teams in the pub, even though they probbably spend more on ale in the pub than they would by actually going to the game, theres absoloutley no reason there should have been anything less than 13500 on last night.
both warriors and latics suffer from the people of this town(no the ones who actually attend)being, tight, lazy, unloyal and generally tight moaning buggers, while the decent supporters amongst wiganers indulge in a game of mines bigger than yours between the latics and the rugby'"

Wiganers for you , ham fisted and tight grow up man, I could not go last night due to work commitments. Yes a job something if you have one you have to be thankfull for in the present climate. Although I am a passionate Warriors fan my priority is to put a roof above my Wife and kids heads and food on the table. So sometimes it ain`t as clear cut as you in your wisdom make out.

Ned I hold my hands up I did jump the gun a bit, understand where you are coming from and yes i`ve I know certain people who rekon they are big fans but don`t even know the names of the stands even thought they are loyal supporters but there is people who post on here who are only to quick to give a quick dig, only night off and I have had a few pints icon_surprised.gifops:

23 - 20 - 4 Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png

I think the point people are making is that Rovers' support was 'poor' in comparison to previous years when it has been fantastic in numbers and noise. It was quite good compared to the numbers other clubs bring.

As for the comment about us not selling out your away stand, there is usually sections reserved for home fans, as per both games last season.

What's the rumpus, Tom?
I can't confirm Bennett's exact words but I believe they were along the lines of "Strewth Ian, I wouldn't touch him with yours. He's a flammin' Gala". [/quote:1dso5atj]
I keep my bin under 30mph to avoid fines... :CURTAIN:[/quote:1dso5atj]
you cant tell me they are all busting for a turd. Threads like this exist purley to massage the egos of the people who went to the game. There are zillions of reasons why people did not attend and each one of them is a personal reason.

It is always better when the stadium is full but ulimately who care if the attendance was down on last year?

For the record i was there, but i do not feel that that makes me "superior" to any of the lads i know who watched it on the telly or indeed missed it totaly because of other comitments.

all this crap about wiganers being tight fisted is a load of old tosh also. This is a working class town and a lot of people i know are struggling at the momment, this includes people who were on a high wage over the last few years.

it will pick up when the weather gets warmer, it always does.
