Well what are we all expecting to see on Saturday in Wigan's performance, trusting the game goes ahead.

First of all a win, I'd then like to see an improved game from Feka and Piggy including playing more minutes.

Hopefully we'll see the basics done right, and a more aggressive fight put up by are forwards, plus the early signs of a more attacking and fluid game plan than before.

Well I'm not asking to much am I, after all McGuire is the wonder coach.

It's weird that Howarth has got a game when he didn't even get a squad number. Must have impressed in pre-season.

Howarth can provide cover in the back row, at stand off or hooker (his best position IMO)

As for Stuart, I know he has worked hard. So on that MM does appear to be selecting on what happens on the training pitch.

I was hoping to see Ben Davies get a run out , heard good things about him.

He probably would have if Prescott was still injured, but I understand why he was left out when we already have Prescott, Coley, Paleaaesina, O'Carroll and Fielden available at prop, plus Hansen, Bailey, Tomkins, O'Loughlin, Mossop and Farrell in the back row. Ben's time will come.

Yeah the rumours about McIllorum and Pryce look to be true, weird that McGuire said only Bailey was injured. On the up side I'm glad that Prescott has recovered quickly. I'm sure he was only meant to be back for the start of the season.

I dont really think squad numbers means anything to MM. You could tell that when the numbers were announced that it was only for fans so they can get them on there shirts.

It looks like it is going to be a cracking game. I like the sound of how eager the lads are to 'rip into' their opponents. All MaGuire seems to be mentioning in interviews is just getting onto the pitch and seeing the lads play live. A very strong squad from us and one I expect to see beat Wakefield (although they don't have a bad squad either).

It's interesting to note that Stuart Fielden will start in this game with Prescott on the bench because Prescott last season established himself as a starting prop with Fielden being used for impact which I don't think is part of Fielden's game. I think this may have something to do with the 'five captains' announcement and Fielden is being given a chance to step up. Thomas Leuluai at hooker should be interesting to watch. Also I see Riddell has been moved to the bench.

For those who are going it should be a cracking game. I just hope there is some commentary on the radio. Shame these games can't be televised by Channel M.

It might get on Channel M in mid week they put some on was it last year or the year before. Cant see there being any commentary on as there are Football matches on at the same time and it is only a friendly. will have a word with my mate who is going with me we might be able to do some live streaming off a web cam and netbook or at least i should be able to put updates on here off my phone as i did at the Leigh friendly last year.
