Didn't someone mention irrelevant posts?
Shaun Edwards has got even more medals than Long, so naaaar!
The only trouble is, he got old too.
Deal with reality, kid. It'll make these bitter pills easier to swallow.

Lol
Cunningham as well respected as Faz only in Saint Helens.
Please don’t tarnish a true RL legends rep like Farrell by grouping him with that cheating KFC.
Any one that gets extra money from GB to keep him in RL and then walks out on his country isn’t a legend.
Any one that fails a drug test doesn’t deserve to be grouped in the same breath as legends like Farrell.
Farrell is twice the man, player and captain KFC could ever dream of.
And before you start I do respect Saints players like Graham, Gidley and Wellens and past players like Sculthorpe.

He's still a very good prop when the effort is there which it has been these past few weeks.
He's been found wanting at times this year though in the effort stakes and really struggled because of it. He seemed to be really stuck in a rut around the time of the semi final against Wire but his poor preformence in games leading up to and including that game seems to have kicked him up the backside and he's now playing well because he looks re-energised.
He'll never be the vintage, rampaging and snarling Fielden again but I agree when he's on his game he's still one of the better props in superleague.

Sorry to burst that bubble but Ricky Bibey doesn't have any Lance Todd medals... but i get your point.
Fielden has been quite improved lately but if you lot are honest it wouldn't have been hard. Even so his performances are only slightly more effective than Hargreaves who is being ridiculed on here, and his defence is actually worse.
To me he has definitely benefitted from being relegated to the bench and being used for impact rather than the early game graft.
In relation to the opening post i agree if Wigan got the Fielden of 5 years ago it would greatly improve your chances come Saturday.
But if everyone played to their best ever form Saints would be a hugely more difficult task Wellens, Cunningham, Gidley, Pryce, Long in their pomp can be outstanding, christ Flannery played for Queensland and Meli was a world beater

Sorry guys.
Bitter pills? Had my fill in the early nineties, thanks. Never fancied going back, you should learn to appriciate a bit of genuine banter.

4486_1428087820.png Newsnight 13th May 2010: "With the role of Deputy Prime Minister a non-job. Has Nick Clegg gone from King Maker to tea maker????"
I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand
For theirs is a land with a wall around it
And mine is a faith in my fellow man
Theirs is a land of hope and glory
Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew

"Why, oh why people bring dogs to Rugby League games I'll never know".: |

| Quote: wigan_rlfc "Can we also have a good, traditional brawl? Not been a good derby day brawl for about 5 years.'"
Agree with the sentiment but I'd say that's the last thing we'd want because that would mean we've finally got p*ssed off with their constant niggle, sly digs, face wipes, holding down/back etc etc to a point where a brawl breaks out. As long as we don't spend our time trying to over protect the likes of Sam from the inevitable attention Wilkin, KFC, Pryce & co will be dishing out then we'll go ok.

Still doesn't make Long in his pomp as good as Andrew Johns in his pomp, which is what the original poster implied.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know
