| Sunday night is a rotten slot for a game.
Although as has been said the attendances are down across the board.
Tickets should be discounted for season ticket holders or play off games included in the season ticket price.
I also think Wigan/Leeds Andy has a good point. Rugby League fans moan about how the game is not taken seriously by the media, etc, but seem to go missing when there is actually a big occasion to turn out for.

| Us two season tickets holders turned up last night and didn't watch Utd or Chelsea earlier.
We are average at best and our best is that we can make semi finals. We are nowhere near a finals team yet. Noble has taken us from a relegation team to a semis team.
Last night's performance was again average and Cas played above themselves. Ian Smith probably had the worst game of his career which affected the game. Again the crowd's frustration was shown by the chant of "We want Ganson". I wasn't sure whether inconsistent decisions led to inconsistent play or the other way round.
I thought the low crowd was worrying as Cas brought a very good following with them. If there were 1800 Cas fans then only 7000 Wiganers turned up. As has been said fans are not buying into the play offs.
The main worry must be the RFL's but IL can't be too happy about it. Neither can the other club chairmen either.
Let's see if they do anything about it!

| I was disapointed with the Wigan turnout to be honest. None of the regulars who sit near us turned up. With the great support Cas brought we should have had at least 12k on with a half decent Wigan crowd. But as has been said, Sunday night is bobbins for rugby league. Glad there'll be no more of that for the rest of the year though. Hopefully we'll fill out the temp-stand at KR next weekend.

I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand
For theirs is a land with a wall around it
And mine is a faith in my fellow man
Theirs is a land of hope and glory
Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew

They should imo.
If your side doesn't make the play offs or get a home tie you'd have some people whinging but there you go.
Something needs to be done because the crowds this weekend have been embarrassing.

It was never going to be a massive crowd - Cas are not a crowd-pulling team, tickets have to be paid for and it was 7pm on a Sunday night, which although fine for me is useless for anyone with a family and/or living outside Wigan. '"
I made it from Chester with my son - what a hero eh . The thing is he is 15 not 5 so getting back late wasn't a big deal. He enjoyed waving at the Cas supporters coaches we passed on the M6 as they headed for the M62 as well! We got back about ten past ten after the obligatory stop at Tesco Extra for supplies.
Cost us £20 for the tickets after discounts and the £2 booking fee (which is something else that penalises far flung fans who can't by locally).
As to paying for the play offs, I was under the impression all gate receipts from all matches were pooled into a big pot divided equally amongst the participating teams so if that is correct it would make it impossible to offer the matches included in the season ticket price. If I am wrong then I think they should be included.
Dave

| I agree with IL when he said we need to bring local talent through at the forum but i feel he needs at least one big signing not only to bolster the playing roster but to put bums on seats for next season.
He showed everyone at the forum the singings we have made year on year becoming less and less but surely those few signings need to be quality purchases.

I'm not ashamed, couldn't go due to work and I know others who couldn't go who are away on holiday who have been going all year like myself both home and away. Should they be ashamed aswell?

Unsurprisingly ( ) I agree.
I couldn't help thinking last night that the Wigan and Cas teams that contested the same fixture 10 years ago would have beaten the teams playing last night quite comfortably, but hey, thats "progress" for you....
