He dislocated his shoulder in the match at St Helens. I'm guessing you don't remember that?

| A good portion of the South Stand was booing Roberts for his greed in not passing inside to Leuluai, when he wriggled out of two tackling defenders and dove over the line to score his 2nd try. Boo's quickly turned to cheers........was very amusing at the time.

Had he passed Tommy would have been tackled. The cover was coming across.
I think when you watch the replay on the Superleague show or Boots'n' all you'll see that is the case.

Will have to check that on Monday on the Superleague Website, not sure about that. Leuluai looked certain to me.

| Quote: Mini Rogue "how was he poor? I haven't said he had a good/bad game, just that people need to look more closely. I didn't think he had a bad game at all but by no means was he poor. We was more dominant when we had both Feka and Fielden on the pitch which is also when Tommy was on the pitch, it makes it alot easier for the hooker/backs to look good then when the forwards get a roll on. Which by the way I'm surprised Fielden hasn't got a mention, I thought he went very well in making some good yards, winning the ground on every occasion and making some good offloads. I'm glad to see that he's put 3 back to back good performances in ready for the playoffs.'"
Riddell was very lethargic and his passing was at times awful. I was watching pretty closely and the number of times his passes were at head height and difficult to take was way too many. Given we were not playing our reserve hooker on the bench he needs to be playing most of the game. Instead he seemed to spend a long time on the bench and I don't think Noble had any choice but to take him off as he looks as unfit now as he did at the start of the season.
I really don't know what people see in him.

Me too...im giving him the benefit of the doubt at the moment tho cos he has improved marginally in the last few weeks. if I keep bashing him all the cherry and white specticals brigade come out and try and argue the opposite dilluding thereseleves hes good!!
For me hes in the same boat as richards and mathers were after their first season and could go either way......he has 10 games next season to prove himself....if he plays as expected i would say then do the same as mathers and get rid! He and roberts need a miracle Pat Richards turn around next season if they are to remain at wigan as frankly what weve seen this season wouldnt be good enough for salford let alone wigan

There was a man on Tommys's back that would have smashed him if he'd passed!
Roberts didn't put a foot wrong last night and did some very good things going forward!
Was in my Top 3 again easily!
But Hey, If AndyedWiganrl thinks he's garbage he must be!

Well there you go. Given the view from the East Stand I thought he had cocked it up. From there I was surprised he scored and thought the Hull fans would have not been impressed with the tackling.
From where you sit it was obviously a deliberate and well thought out bit of RL.
I thought Roberts played well overall but this little debate just sums it up for me because when someone suggests he was a bit fortunate things panned out as they did someone over analyses it and turns it into something it probably was not, some deliberate bit of sublime play.
My view is he just went for it and had no intention of passing the ball never mind thought about it but decided not to. Who knows but in some peoples eyes it was sublime and in others rather fortunate.

| He really ought to have passed it. If the Hull full-back was any good he'd have truly punished him and bundled him into touch. At that point in time regardless whether Tommy was covered, Tommy had a better chance of scoring. However let's give credit where credit is due, he made a mistake but made up for it in the best way possible.

And your slant on it isn't equally as biased the other way????
He didn't deliberately do a piece of sublime play and Rogues Never said he did, he intentionally didn't pass it due to Tommy being covered.
The rest was just him reacting to the FB not tackling him etc. and due to poor defence on Hull's part he scored!
No-One is trying to make out it was some kind of genius try, just a Good try largely in part to some poor defence from Hull.
Still one of the Top 3 players for Wigan n Friday. As he was last week!
