Totally agree there games in my opinion are vastly different, end of story.

Burrow and McGuire will never be world class players, only time will tell to see if Eastmond and Tomkins can be.

Eastmond's defence, while not perfect, is streets ahead of what it was. I've noticed, for instance, that he seems to have stopped running out of his line. Also he is not shy of defending these days. I think he lost a bit of confidence last season when he went in wrong on a tackle and gave himself a helluva shoulder injury (surgery required). His technique has improved, his effort has improved and his results have improved. Defence can be taught. Some of the superb plays he has made, however, have pure instinct written all over them. We didn't see much of that on Friday night but we saw a lot of it against Wire. Perhaps the event got to him, I don't know.

| Anyone noticed it’s all gone quiet on the Myler front since both Eastmond and Tomkins have shown what a true great prospect looks like.
You put either of Eastmond or Tomkins in a rampant England side vs France and they’d make Myler look like the over hyped average SL player he is.

| We will see how good Myler is next year in a pretty good Wire team.

Myler is a good player in a poor side but he will be shown up playing for wire next year. I do not doubt his ability in attack but his all round game is not there.
Tomkins playing for England along side Eastmond should be the way to go next year for that game IMO.

I've said that for a while now.
If you put Eastmond or Tomkins in the Salford team with the amount of ball they’d get you’d see how good they are compared to Myler. He’s got it easy at Salford really as if he tries something and it comes off he’s the next big thing but if they lose and he plays bad it’s blamed on the poor players round him.

Myler would be good with the right partner at a big team though, I just fear for his career going to warrington.

Briers Mk 2 - good on his day, but will always lack the consistency and overall game to guide a team to trophies.

Give him till next season, youll change your mind
Joking aside though finaly we have some good kids coming through across the park, not just in the back row, where we have never really strugled to produce players.
Just shy of a good few centres and a winger or two, and the future for england/gb is rosy

Not now Smith is there, if Cullen was still coach I'd agree with you.

Goes by the name Greg Mcnally.
