But Ainscough doesn't have fantastic pace. His real quality is that he his strong and elusive, certainly not quick.

Nice couple of tries from Ainscough in the reserves defeat yesterday - not the hardest of chances but he seems to have the knack of converting them, in the way that Roberts hasn't this season. If he's not given a chance in the first team, he has to go out on loan and its certainly time that Wigan sorted his contract situation.

Your right rogues in saying that he doesn't have genuine pace in the way of being the fastest on the pitch, but his ability to accelerate from a standing start is unquestionable, and I dare say he will probably be the quickest in the team over a distance of 30 metres or so, plus like you mention his strength and ability to shrug of tackles are his plus points. |
