Going much better than last season. He has an eye for a gap and the agility to get through it. We've yet to see him tested properly in defence though, I'm not too convinced by his tackling to be honest.

| phelps started the season by getting slated and got that hamstring injury against hull, since then he come back against saints on good friday at full back and has gone from strength to strength at full back, hopefully he keeps improving because he could keep that position his own for years.

| Any news on Bailey? From what I've read it looks like he isn't going to make it.
At least we will get to see Flanagan have another go, thought he tackled up brilliantly on Friday so he definitely deserves another chance.

| If he's not quite right then don't play him imo.
The games huge but we can't afford to risk losing players for the semi and it it's own right i suppose the games too big to carry players that aren't fully fit.

| If Baileys not 100% fit then he shouldn't be risked the same goes with Carmont, I might also be keen to rest Richards and bring Ainscough in, however who would do the goal conversions I don't know, but it's certainly something I'd consider resting all three.

Ainscough was carried off injured in the reserve game last Saturday.

Any news on that injury?
I wouldn't expect we'll see him in the first team again this year but you never know if we get a couple of injuries.

I knew he'd got injured but heard that by the end of the match he was wandering around looking ok, like I say I would still play him if he was available or if he couldn't make it why not put Veivers in Pat's place, safe under the highball as well good at kicking are goals, certainly something I'd consider.

He seemed ''fighting fit'' on King St Saturday night.
Looking at this Saints' team, they have some young, inexperienced lads in the squad:

1. Paul Wellens, 2. Ade Gardner, 3. Matt Gidley, 5. Francis Meli, 6. Leon Pryce, 9. Keiron Cunningham, 10. James Graham, 11. Lee Gilmour, 12. Jon Wilkin, 13. Chris Flannery, 16. Tony Puletua, 17. Paul Clough, 18. Kyle Eastmond, 19. Chris Dean, 24. Andrew Dixon, 28. Matty Ashurst, 29. Tom Armstrong, 31. Jake Emmitt, 32. Paul Johnson.

Looks a pretty good line up to me. The key will be the start - if we can keep level by the time interchanges are made then we have a good chance.

The starting thirteen will be typical Saints.
The bench will be inexperienced. Still, judging by the youth that has come through at Knowsley Road this season they will certainly more than do a job.

I agree, our bench should be stronger than theirs, so hopefully with the impact that can have we stand a good chance.
The first XIII is still quality though.

I think the good thing about us having young players in and them having plenty in is that our lads have nothing to fear from them. They've played them and bettered them on plenty of occasions over the past couple of years so the likes of Flanagan, Mossop and Sam Tomkins can relax in that knowledge.
We just need the senior players to stand up like they have been doing and we should give it a good shot.
