| Quote: Abe Frohman "My mates joined the queue at 7.25pm.
They arrived with the beer at our seats at 8.20pm - yes, 55 minutes after they started to queue!
Does the stadium owner not realise the loss of profit in not investing in one of those "multi-pouring" pint machines which can dispense several pints at once?
(rlThey have had them for ten years in Cardiffrl)
Maybe its time to consider tendering for the contract at the ground?'"
No way would I miss any of the match in order to get a drink!
Why on earth do people buy a ticket for the match and then miss some of it to buy beer? Surely the whole purpose of paying to go on the ground is to watch the game?
I had a drink before I went on the ground and then a shed load after in the Colliers (Sam's bar).

| I missed the first 10 mins of the match through queuing at the bar, and the queue wasn't even that long really, just the staff behind the bar were really slow.

| Yes!!!! I knew being teetotal would pay off, no long cues for me, however when it comes to women I don't have the advantage of having a pair of beer goggles to obscure my view.

| I went watching Brisbane and St George in 2005 and got served almost immediately even though there was a 50,000 crowd. They just had a different system. A machine filled 4 pints at once and you took them along to the tills which were separate and the price was a round number so there was no hold-up. Brilliant.

Dont say that.....theyve been lookin for an excuse to rob £3.00 a pint off us for years at the JJB!! TBF though riddiculously I would pay it if I could be guarenteeed a pint within 2 mins of goin to the bar....abandoned it last night....going cold turkey through the match was hard work as well!!

Wrong, wrong wrong.
The answer is don't drink on the ground until they provide a service worth your money.
Tell them to fek off.

| Why are people missing the game to queue for beer - and my question has nothing to do with bar staff standards.

| Quote: elwiganer "Firstly may i appolgise for the length of time people had to wait to get servered last nite, i work behind the bar on match days ( rugby and football ) and yes the length of time people were waiting was longer than average, but i can assure you that we in the south stand tried to serve you all as quickly as possible, the six pint multi pouring machines was being used from start to finish along with the pumps at the front of the bar. The demand for beer last nite was far greater than any other match and people were coming to us asking for up to ten and twelve pints at a time, the pumps only pour at a certain speed and we the staff can only supply as quickly as the pumps allow us to. as for the comment about us pouring pint after in readiness for the break, well i can personally assure you that the que at our bar never had less than ten people waiting to get served all match, so were we normally get stocked up ready for the interval, well last nite that chance never occured. I and along with the other staff hope that you can appreciate we aim to serve you as quickly as possible so that you can enjoy what you went along to do and get behind and support Wigan R.L'"
Don't doubt everybodies efforts... But many people like me, don't even bother going to the bar at half time...God help you if all those turned up as well... its the staff levels and the equipment thats the issue...
