| Quote: Pugsley Snr "We need someone the rest of the squad respect; someone with experience and a cool head in frantic situations. I'd say Richards or Carmont.
The most important thing is the whole squad perform as a team, cutting out all the errors and penaties. If we can do this it doesn't matter who the captain is.'"
Consistency and some sort of a presence are the keys for me.
Carmont or Gleeson.

| Pat Richards, I personally think he has been playing more confident (apart from his kicking)a solid player give him a chance see what he can do.

Too much responsibility? That doesn't wash.
Sam has played more games as captain than anybody else in tomorrow's squad. He has shown (so far) that he is up to SL level and is used to captaining the team he's in, so why not give him a shot?
If you're good enough, you're old enough.

Sam playing for the reserves tomorrow then??
Sam has absolutly not captianed Wigan's first team squad more than anybody else. That's spin on 'The Sun' level!
I would rather see Tommy given another shot than Sam, he's going well as he is, so why change anything. Richards for me won't do much talking, and it's gona take some serious leadership from the wing. Carmont, similar, althought he does always put his hand up, so maybe.
Hoesntly I think Fielden or Tommy are the only candidates for me, Fielden was trememndous when we gave him Captaincy last year, maybe a coincidence due to the world cup?

| Quote: RhinoNeil "And when the boat is rocking and possibly sinking against the Champions will the team look to Sam and hope his experience will hold the team together and guide them through a tough spell?
And Just how old was Sinfield when he became Leeds Captain Or Faz when he became GB captain.
Well Sinfield was 20 when he was captain of Leeds And Faz Captained GB at 21.
Sam is a natural Leader just as Sinfield is and Faz was as they say in this day and age he can talk the talk and walk the walk. He can organize a side and i think it would bring out the best in him give him a shot thats what i say its a 50/50 game and his energy and commitment might just transfer to other players and win us the match

At what age Did Sam Tomkins make his debut for Wigan?
Sinfield made his debut as a 16 year old in 1997. He was made captain in 2003 not 2000 in which he had 6 Years experience at top grade.
You look at the leaders Leeds have on the park tonight...Sinfield...2nd to that Jamie Peacock...3rd Ex Aussie captain Danny Buderus...4th Most experienced player in the comp in Keith Senior.
Please!

Indeed, hopefully we have better management so when those four retire we wont have to put a young kid as captain

Your right about Sinfield but what is the point you are making about the other experienced players?
