very true.......lads at 17, 18, 19 yrs have other distractions in life, no matter how talented they are.
and some believe their own hype and think they are natural world beaters.

You hear that said about young kids all the time when they sign at clubs.

It's daft but the people who discover them like to build them up i suppose to make themselves look amazing.

Telling how this kids going to turn out in the future when he's only 15 is impossible.

Im glad Dougie Charnock hasnt signed.....can you imagine the confusion in two years time when we would have had both Dougie Charnock and Druggie Charnock playing in the back row!!!

As previously stated Dougie has gone to Saints.
But i hear at the same age ,you have picked up a cracking LF from Widnes.

Just checked google and read that one game last year, Rylands won a game 28 - 22 with Dougie scoring 4 try's and kicking 4 goals.

I'm not sure if he has signed yet, he hadn't last week. I know Wigan are VERY keen to get him.

Lewis 'Dougie' Charnock is a standout prospect at Under 14 level, but there is a long road to go before SL and sometimes players that look the business at that age just do not develop as expected. Neverthess a blow for Warrington and a coup for Saints.

We haven't done so badly ourselves if we have snatched Callum Wright as rumoured. An enthusiatic young second rower who has enormous workrate in the tackling department and is difficult to stop with ball in hand at Under 14 level. Really impressed when I saw him play for Latchford Albion Unicorns in 2007/2008 and then later with Rylands this season. Been in the Service Area teams from a young age and if I remember correctly he was rated more highly in the Warrington scholarship than Charnock prior to this season and was training with both the District and England squads at Under 14 level. Like Charnock it depends how he develops, but he has great potential.
