Then why is one of our greatest halfbacks one of the best defence coaches in Onion??
Lam is a bad idea mind you. not proven at 1st team level, and international level is a different kettle of fish. same goes for Kerney.
we need to sign BIG!

| The article is stiring to the extreme, IL basically says no comment and Noble basically says he wants a job next season.
The rest is newspaper speculation.
I refuse to believe anything about this txt message, whether Noble is staying or not.

| What will fans think of Noble if we put 40 past Salford twice then Celtic?
It will all change again.

i don't think it changes as much as everyone thinks. Just the same people come out after ever game and always say "everyones gonna have changed there mind" and hence everyone will believe them.
Most people seem to think the same as me, noble out, but if we won everygame from now until the end of the season and got a cup, we'd obviously have to change our minds.

| why are people not conviced about lam?
so what if he is not the most experienced, that should not put us off.
mike greg had about similar experience as lammy and we gave him a chance, that was looking promising. why cant we give lammy the same chance?
we are going to have to take a risk but lammpy is someone who could be a good risk

Probably because they have looked at where the Sydney Roosters are.

| Its pretty obvious that theirs no love lost between Noble and Lenagan.
For me with results not going the way they should highlights the problems between the 2.
I think it is only a matter of time before Noble either quits or gets sacked!. When the relationship between the owner and Coach starts to go wrong you are only ever going to have one winner and that's Lenagan.
Noble has done a good job in regards to keeping us up a few years ago, and he is trying his best however we are static and we are not going anywhere at the moment. In fairness Nobby has tried his best and put his all into the job but unfortunately that at the moment hasn't been enough.
With regards to a new coach, i am stunned lots want Adrian lam, a fantastic player no question but i wouldn't want him as the head coach!, it just wouldn't work. If anything we need some 1 to bring the soul back to Wigan someone like Edwards, maybe Hanley? Maybe Fsrrell? or maybes they need to go down another route and go for Justin Morgan possibly?
However what ever happens it will have to happen soon!

Glad someone has some sense on here. Why people always think a good player makes a good coach, i'll never know. The ability to play the game is different to coaching it.

Thats exactly how I feel.
The guys done a fantastic job, but we arn't going anywhere at the minute. Ok, we won four on the bounce, which we haven't done since we nearly went down, but once agian we seem to be back to square one!
We've found a fullback who can come into the line and give us attacking options, as well as doing everything else a fullback should do. We've got 3 quality wingers and arguably the best two centres in the league. Our back row is outstanding and our props are...well...getting there. We have a 13 who is on top form at the minute and yet we are stuck in 9th place?
What else in the team is there left to change!! Sorry Mr Noble, I've stuck by you for ages but I can't anymore, you've done a fantastic job for us and I thank you for that, but we arn't going anywhere!
