| Here we go again.
2006 - Talk of Richards going to Wakefield and a que of people to drive him.
2007 - Pat has settled into life in Wigan, a new climate, a different style of play, new team mates etc etc and is a god. He drops a goal at Bradford and is written into history.
Fast forward to 2009 and he's a firm fans favourite.
Judge Piggy next year and not this when he's missed a number of games through injury and played a number of games when not fully fit.

Bad example. Richards was playin out of position in his first season, riddell isn't. Richards has never once looked out of shape or kept more worthy players out of the team.
Richards has helped us win games with his kicking alone. Riddell has contributed very little to our games.
Forget mickey higham, he's in the past, at wigan we have 3 players who can play 9, riddell as the most senior 9 should be the best, when in reality he's the worst.
If you think he's up to standard then you're not pushin for a winning team

| Why do people compare Riddell and Higham?
They play two different positions. One is a starting, organizational number 9 and the other is an impact hooker.
It's funny how people are now saying ''Why did we let Higham go?'' but we didn't know how A.Dissapointing Riddell was going to be in comparison to his NRL performances and B. How improved Michael McIlorum was going to be.
If we all knew McIlorum was going to be playing as he is now, then keeping Higham on a reduced wage playing off the bench as an impact hooker would have been a good combination, but in reality we have two players doing better or worse than expected and the decision to allow Higham to leave was 100% correct at the time.

| the fact is piggy has been in training since december, ok he has had an injury thats fair enough, but he has still had ample time to at least get fit and lose some weight, this is what i think is annoying most of the fans.

Yes, true, but Riddel has never been as slim as your average rl player, so what's annoying me is why is he expected to lose weight just to play for us, I just don't get.
Bottom line is he isn't in form ATM, but I very much doubt it's anything to do with his weight. I also don't understand why people are on his back when he's not playing as well as George carmont, who is also off form. He cost us the game agianst saints and hull or by standing off his centre and allowing them to score the winning tries. Yet he gets no stick like Riddell is and he hasn't cost us 4 points IMO

ah so the reason we lost is because of Locky?
you are talking soft! Game after game?!!? what do you actually watch
Locky has been the most consistent player for us, he gave away a penalty on friday but guess what so did fielden, micky on about five occasions, coley and prescott so why is Locky picked out.

I think one of the reasons people have laid off Richards is his goal kicking, this has meant that many people have conveniently forgotten a lot of his other deficiencies that still exist from the 2006 season.

Riddel was always an avergae player in the NRL. One week he looked world class, the following 5 games he would do little. Not sure what Wigan fans were seriously expecting from him?

| The problem with Riddell so far is he looks totally disinterested. The terrible forward pass against Wire being a perfect example.

I know Riddell has been average to say the least, but at least give him time.
Think back to D Vaealiki and J Ainscough were given 2/3 years and still were poor IMO
