Because Noble doesn't have the mental capacity to figure that out. Plus Tony Smith would probably just switch King and Riley around

I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand
For theirs is a land with a wall around it
And mine is a faith in my fellow man
Theirs is a land of hope and glory
Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew

Edited for accuracy.
Other than that, pretty much exactly what i was thinking.
We must be the worlds best at throwing games away via stupid petulant penaties, lousy decision making, and unforced schoolboy handling errors.

Still the problem was that Ainscough could not handle the highball which led to Wire's first try. It would have made sense to put Richards out wide against King, but Ainscough made the error and he needs to develop that side of his game quickly.

| one of the main reasons we lost the game tonight was on territory. wire's pack were fired up tonight yet we gave them the ball in terrible position most sets, by the third tackle they were on out ten meter line, time and time again. we defended well but had our kicking game been better and pinned them in their half we may have edged this one. i cannot remember one time we split the winger and the full back, it was always down their throat allowing them to make 20 meters each time. in fact the only time we did was when amos kicked it dead. needs to improve

Ainscough - shocker for King try no effort made to even jump for the ball, exactly the reason why he is not yet ready to play in every game'"
At the start of the season there were lots of posts on here saying it was about time the young players got a run but that if they did, we should not be impatient with them and we should expect the odd bad game here and there.
That idea has seemingly gone out of the window with Ainscough as he is used as football in the ongoing Noble debate.
Does that very poor effort at a tackle from Carmont last week mean he is not ready to play every game? He made a bad mistake. Ainscough has had a bad game tonight and so what? He was bound to have one sooner or later. No doubt he will be dropped like a red hot brick when more established players would not had they made an equally poor mistake.

| Watching Wigan tonight for me was interesting. For effort they gave absolutely everything they could give.
However i am concerned how we couldn't finish, Warringtons defence was awesome but, the team lacked the composure to convert their chances.
My 2nd concern is for me i don't see many leaders out on the pitch, not many voices, not much shouting going on, maybe i am being picky but this isn't the first time i have seen this.
Looking at some of the players Riddell concerns me i am still stunned as into why he was signed in the 1st place?
I also dont see Amos Roberts etc, maybe it's just me, not sure but they don't fit in.
The question is from a 4 match winning streak and now back to 2 straight defeats where do we go from here?
Consistency is a real problem for us as it is for alot of teams in the league, would i be wrong to say that maybes its time to let go of Noble? or would i be being 2 harsh!
I just think the teams in danger of not getting into the playoff pack, and I think lenagan maybes needs to strike.
Did Lenagan say last season that this was the season we would come good?

I don't think there is a winger in the league who would have stopped King scoring that try given he is 6 ft 4, had a free run at the ball and must have been about 8ft in the air when he caught it.
He also suffered from being brought into the game cold after having had an enforced 4 week lay off that will have dented his confidence and halted his "momentum"

Stupid playing Ainscough, and I think Sam was a bad idea aswell, but Smith wasn't available so he had no choice with that.

| Warrington's defence was good in that they stood firm in the tackle - but again we didn't have anything truly creative to throw at them. Honestly, did we ever really look like scoring after the first 10-12 minutes? Don't remember many (any?) last-ditch tackles by Wire.
And yes, Locker's defence was good, but it was his stupid push on Briers that got Wire their field position to score at the end of the first half. He's experienced enough to know that that jug-eared cheating little t__t will take any opportunity to milk a penalty, so he shouldn't have presented him with one. It's that kind of daft error, following excellent work, that makes people despair of Lockers and adds fuel to the fire that he shouldn't be captain.
