Thats not very nice!!

Anyone staying in the "Carlton" in the centre (near Waveley station), went up there this week and for a four star it isn't up to standard, no room cleaning, food was not what you'd expect from a four star hotel, although across the road from that there's the "Scotsman" and the food there is very good indeed.

Does anyone know of anywhere decent, Haven have just rang me and said there overbooked so i can either cancel or go 50 miles away from seton sands. I booked last July im so annoyed!

If you dont mind camping try www.meadowhead.co.uk/MortonhallHome.aspx , its only 4 mile(bus ride) from the city centre, me and 6 others got in there last week. If they say their fully booked ask for a hard stand pitch. Park the car on the hard stand and put your tent on the grass. they said I could do it.

Had the same call from Seton Sands earlier....can't believe how annoyed i am!! Booked and paid for in July last year, today they ring up and tell me there's no caravan for me for next weekend!!! Absolutely fuming!

Just booked the Lochend Apartments at more than double the cost of the original booking!!

Thry Rose Street which is parallel with Princess Street and a only a short walk away. Its packed with pubs www.edinburgh.pubs.freeuk.com/rosent.html lots of them well known and busy. There used to be the Rose Street run which involved a pint in each one which is a challenge
