the tackle was still active, the referee hadnt called held so any Saints player had every right to get stuck in to complete it.

he was penalised for it.

I know he was penalised for it. But i was asking if it was a grapple tackle? And if it was, why is he not facing any further punishment?

it probably was, but has anyone faced further punishment for a grapple tackle this year?

Not that I know of it seems like the Chicken Wing tackle is the ‘in’ tackle that the RFL are punishing

i fully agree mate....i was just making a comparison.
both tackles 3rd man in, both tackles hard, but both tackles fair and legal.

True - and it can backfire badly. Ask Adrian Morley.

| Some of RL's laws need to be looked at big time.
Take last seasons playoff game at Leeds Calderwood get's sent to the sin bin for not standing square at the PTB and at the same time a fight kicks off and Senior runs 20 yards to hit someone in the head and gets a slap on the wrist and nothing else?
Only in RL can you get 10 mins for petty things like holding down in the tackle or having one foot offside but not for striking out an opposition player?
I certainly know which one would A-cause the most damage and B-which one was intended to injure a player. Guess the RFL see it differently?

| I'm a bit more interested in Leed's fighting tbh... I think a punch has been thrown in all of their matches exept for ours(?). How on earth have they not been penilised by the panel once
Saints - Fighting
Wigan - Don't recall one
Warrington - Think so?
Manly - Fighting
Hull KR - Not sure there was fighting but McShane was sin binned?
Wakey - Fighting
Celtic - Fighting
And btw Both tackles were legal but they shouldn't appear too often really...

| As stevo says "Its not tiddly winks"
Its an impact sport, these things will happen.
On the leeds fighting thing, i hadn't realised they have a fight in nearly every game. Poor disipline or passionate play?
