We have one of the best Fullbacks in the league in Richards.get him at 1 and play Ainscough
But i wouldnt be to bothered if Ashton returned.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Yes he was aweful at times but not as bad as Mathers, at least with Ashton you would get lots of attacking play.
A better poll would be if we should get Briscoe back, we shoul never of let him go. |

Mathers and Ashton are as bad as eachother in defence.
Ashton could attack but he had no heart to put his body on the line. And if hes that great a player in union why is he nowhere near the England Squad. |

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

No no no no no no no some of you lot have short memories, this scumbag shat on the club, fellow team mates and most of all us THE FANS of club when he paraded around in that ised shirt just 6 games into the 2007 season and then expected to play on in the the famous cherry and white for the rest of the season.
Theres ways and means of leaving a club, and doing it in a way not to offend should be at the top of the list. But this five fingered knuckle shuffler couldn't give a monkeys.

think ashton was badly treated by Mo at first - Mo went public with figures that I understand were completely wide of the mark. Dont blame Ashton for taking more cash when he was one of brightest talents in british rugby - both codes.
ashton on other hand failed to put it in and really let the fans down later on.
