| Good luck to the lad, he's been a model of consistency for years and will earn his corn doing the graft amongst the tired old heads forming Salfords pack next year. I wonder if Wigan would have kept Tuson if this had come to light earlier? There can't be many complaints with giving more gametime to Bateman and Burke though, both of whom are future candidates for the 13 shirt imo.

| yup, good luck to the lad. Been an asset for us, let's just hope Nobby makes the best out him.
(still can't help thinking about the salary cap though - something fishy going on there or else there's been a few wage cuts ???)

Spot on. Hansen is looking after himself and his family, it is a short career and we all forget that sometimes. If there was any time for Hansen to move on, it would be now with Bateman, Burke and Hughes coming through. It's certainly a position that we were overloaded in and I think we won't regret this half as much should a bright prospect like Burke leave. Good Luck H.

| That's terrible business from us. He was close to getting halved salary cap hit and I think he offered the team a lot. I feel worse about this than Sam going. Sam was always going to leave, but I think Hansen could have been convinced to stay. The fee is meaningless to us fans unless it gets invested in the team properly.
Don't blame Hansen though, good luck to him.

The 50% salary cap only applies to one player per club, and that is taken by Sean O'Loughlin.

| good luck to H, he has got himself a 4 year deal and most likely a payrise. Obviously our management team couldn't or didn't wish to match the offer and have not stood in the players way by making him see out the 1 year option on his services.
It now opens up a 2nd row starting slot for someone to grab by the horns

Salford have only retained a few players from the entire squad from last year, so he is starting with pretty much a blank sheet in regards to the cap. Plus the ones retained wouldn't have been on much at all. He states on twitter after being asked about the cap saying there's still room to bring someone else in although unlikely before the start of the season.

Neither, Koukash has just decided to spend the same as the likes of Wigan, Leeds, Warrington etc for the first time in Salford's Super League history.
